They are bars and stuff but I'd expect you and mate would walk along the promenade to San an and the West end, which will be an experience 
lol. There is a taxi rank at the bottom of the West end so easy to get to a club or back to your hotel.
Just watch out for pick pockets (don't keep valuables in back pockets) and I personally avoid the back streets when/if walking back... a group of us a few years ago did that (which I said wasn't a good idea), only to come across a gentleman been serviced by a lady in a doorway .
