Who's NOT going to Ibiza this year?

Not fussed about going this year ... been there, done that and to be honest, in my eyes, Southport Weekender cant be beat, music wise; Ibiza cant even begin to compete.

Me and Jon might not go this year  Purely due to money and the fact that we have 3 other holidays planned and might not be able to get the time off. Plus it's the final year of our course so we'll have to get our heads doen if we wanna pass 8O

(I'm still hoping we will make it over there though, even for a short break ;) )

If I do go it'll be sometime in June.... I thought September was poop when I went last year
Well it was ok, but June was much better :D

I'm going to Barcelona in June, then Goa in November. I want to go to Ibiza again this year, but having trouble persuading Andrea. But I may go and see my mates in Figuretas on me tod.

I usually only book a few months beforehand anyway.

Could this season be the worst in recent years?

:?

in what respect Drew? i hope not. 8)

By using this thread as a benchmark, it seems obvious that people are getting a little tired of Ibiza.

Bora Bora ending and the Space terrace alterations don't do much to help either.

Just a feeling.

I dont think that because a few of us tired old Ibiza veterans are giving it a miss this year will have much of an effect on the season in general!
There will always be plenty of fresh faced young things ready to go for their first ever season, to have a brilliant time 8)

I'm not fed up with it! Like everything I spose if you do it too many times then you will tire of it. There are also a lot of other destinations to get through.

For me Bora Bora doesnt maketh the island  and I'm looking forward to seeing the new space at Space. Think that'll be an improvement now actually, better sound, better air con?

Becki's right the regulars on here may/may not go but in a few months the site will be busy with fresh new guys/girls excited about stepping off the plane for the first time.

People have this same discussion every year, of course Ibiza is going to change, it would be boring if it didn't evolve, when I think what the island was like the first time I went it is massively different now but that doesn't affect my enjoyment of it and I look forward to each year. Yes it's good to have some familiarity on the island but half the fun is trying out new things, finding new nights, going to new restaurants etc.

I think once the summer gets closer, people will feel more up for it.

It annoys me when people say they've had enough of Ibiza when they've only been once, maybe twice and have only seen like 2% of the island

The best thing we did last year was hire a car and get to some of the amazing beaches (e.g. Cala Salada) which are off the beaten track. We'll definately be hiring a car for the full holiday this time. Will make sure i get more than 1 hour's sleep before picking it up this time however 8O

Drew, there's lots of people going for the 20th time who only have seen 10% of the island.

Ten days in the island or wherever doesn't involve you get to explore the whole place but it's totally undestable that people enjoys visiting different places every year.

Still something I have to do but always drink in the day. Think 1 time I'd like to go, not go clubbing and drinking and explore. Seen lots of the island when I used to go with my parents but there are still so many places left on the hitlist.

Am going for a week probably at end of June. :D Normally about 6-8 of us go, this year I think it will be half that :(

I wasn't suggesting that was the case. All i was saying is that we're going to make as much effort as possible to explore the island for the short time we're there.

Couldn't agree more. As i said above, we try to go somewhere different every year as well as Ibiza.
