WHOS GOING TO WORK IN IBIZA 2005?

I keep going off the idea of working in Ibiza when people say about the long hours and low pay, how am i supposed to live on 20 euros a day when my accomodation will probably cost the same? ... and then I look on the website: dancetrippin tv .... where you can see videos of people dancing on the beach to the best music ...

right................. there are long hours yeah but its not hard work...... i would work 4 hours on the afternoon, say outside bar m and then 6 hours on the night.... we got a 2 hour break inbetween shifts. or if we had filled the club the previous week then he would give us extra time off......

my wage was 150 euro's a week and my rent was 50 euro's a week...... we lived in very nice aprtments too.... only thing was it was a little noisy cos it was above the west end... u get used to the noise tho.

also.............. why don't u save a bit of money up before you go and like i said before................ there are other ways of making money (not necessairily illegal ones)
 
To be fair not all jobs are long hours and lame pay, i was working as a pr, granted its not the most glamarous job, but hey it keep me in ibiza :D , and basically i started @ about 9-10pm and finished no later than 3am usualy b4 like 2am, but coz the pay is based on comisiion, u can end up earning a fair amount, i was taking home usually about 60euros a night, sometimes more, i think it all boils down to how much u wanna graft, gift of the gab in the pr game!

i was in fatso's quite a bit cos the breakfast in there was f***ing gorgeous
 
andy - its quality reading what your writing mate,gives me more of an insight cant wait to get out there counting the days! lol!
what did you do when you first went out did you just book a holiday and use that time find an apartment? ive found some apartments to rent but its gonna be a bit steep coz theres only the 2 of us so thinking of just bookin in 2 weeks and hopefully meeting people?? sorry to be a pain u must know how it is lol :roll:

I worked for Amsterdam/London Bar but mainly the Amsterdam bar, from july till oct

nah your not being a pain mate... it brings back memories for me haha. i'd love to go do it again this year but i have too many commitments in the uk now.

i booked a 2 week holiday to start off with so i could find an apartment and job..... you will meet people to live with i promise..... there are so many other people in the same boat as you... just check the ship noticeboards everyday.

i went with a girl i didn't know and she couldn't hack it but 2 of my mates were coming over anyway so i was lucky that i had people to live with and we met 2 girls that needed to share........

its ibiza and i promise even if things aren't going well..... it all of a sudden just falls into place..... happened so many times last year with so many different things.....like my job etc

Sorry those are the bars i worked @ ibiza, i havent yet been to Amsterdam its on my to go list for the end of this season along with Prague.
 
makka i will advise you it is ok but nothing special, ideal 4 sitting on ya arse all day doing nothing but if you want to be out and about there is not that much really :(

lol - i ended up in the red light district it was well funny lol they are in little windows they look like dolls in boxes lol
 
your extremely quick at replying, yeah ive heard great storys from Amsterdam, i believe its 50euros, cheaper in Prague tho.
 
there are not really 2 many bars either which is bad if u r like me and gagging for a malibu & coke lol :) there are loads of mcdonalds and plenty of the sports shop 'footlocker' apart from that all new to me :(
