getting really commercial lately?? Within a years time i bet all the commercial clubs will be playing house instead of cheesy dance!!!

Everytime i turn the tv on theres some overplayed funkyhouse tune in the background to the adverts/kids tv shows etc!!

I know this has already been discussed on here a good while back, but i think its getting really noticeable these days!!

Back to trance then eh? ;) :)
 
Yea it has a little, ive just learnt to mix tonight tho so hold onto that thought sonny jim, you'll see me at your local ritzy before long with a brand new clean cut house sound :lol: :lol: :lol:

there is all the BULLSHIT thats always about.

but theres always quality underground house and techno out there though ;) :P 8)

Well ive already played for Hed Kandi :lol:, we'll be playing for Defected hun and i'll make pies for everyone instead teehee.
 
just what ive been thinking j,been going off funky house of late and getting more into prog and tech house even started listining to me brothers techno cd's,

you know what i mean though??? With all the cheesy funky tunes getting popular, mainstream club residents are just gonna start playing house.....

And to go with the funky commercial stuff they will also throw in some decent tunage!! Then house will get more popular due to the dj's playing it, and everyones tastes will sway towards house

I think it's great news if house becomes popular again. We're still a long way off from this happening again like it did in the early/mid nineties before R&B took over. You only have to go to somewhere like Bristol where you will struggle to find a bar NOT playing R&B :evil:
 
i want it to remain underground,turned the tele on the other day and they had lolas theme playing over some grandtstand advertisement :roll:
 
I really like hand picking my records by my own taste, and seeing them explode in clubland!! I like when records I haven't been advised to buy get big in the clubs......

But when they end up on mtv and adverts and chavs sing them in the shower its not that good :cry: :cry: :cry: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
actually IMO house is going back to the underground nowdays, while other music genres are taking over (anyone mentioned R&B? ;) )
 
I have been saying for a while that funky house is going to cross-over to pop-land lots this year, it has not been anywhere near as much as I expected though. And good luck to those who do cross-over, clubland could do with a kick up the arse.
Also my Daily Star thinks Stonebridge "Put Em High" will be top 10 this weekend 8O
 
I agree, it does seem like every man and his dog have jumped on the funky house cap wearing von dutch mullet band wagon this year, everyone seems to be embracing the new uber cool Hed Kandi culture, personally i think it's great!

Why? Because now i can go to my local pub on a Saturday night and hear local DJ's playing house music rather than that awful RnB crap!! :D
