He didn't even go to Germany, I'm telling you, I was talking to him at WLS opening in the toilets. He sent his mate over to sit on the bench. No-one knew the difference cos no fcker had heard or seen him before, even Sven.

Nice kid, **** dancer though. He didn't like the new terrace.

cowards choice, terry is gonna be just as inspirational whether he is skipper or not.

make gerrard captain and he'd become a living legend.

well if he IS, then stevie G must be too. my point is that i don't think terry can give anymore or get any better as captain and i don't think his leadership skills will be lost even if he's not captain. at the WC, the defence wasn't the problem.

mclaren needs stevie G on club form more than JT on club form. if you got a liverpool stevie G for england, then you'd see the true power...............i think the captaincy would have been the catalyst for this.

So, you're saying that Stevie will only play well if he's captain, while JT gives 100% no matter what? I think that's even more reason to pick JT!

not at all. i'm saying that for whatever reason, i.e. the formation, its just not happened for stevie. look at beckham, he became an entirely different player as england skipper.

you're mixed up morbyd, typcial yank.:roll: :roll: its about the team not individual reward for being good. i feel the team would benefit more from stevie as captain, cos as i've said, JT is gonna be the leader he clearly is, whether is offical captain or not.

I'm not mixed up about team vs. individual reward (typical scouser for misunderstanding ;)) You need a captain who will lead by example i.e. giving 100%. My point was that JT always plays 100% and that makes him a good leader for the team.
