Which resort? Santa Eulalia, Playa den bossa or the Bay?

Plus lots of nice places to stay from private apartments to cheap hostals on the beach to El hotel.
including hostal talamanca, which recently changed of owners and remains open this winter for the first time.....

We stayed there when we went in May. So so cheap, friendly and clean. But the walk to the beach was a slog. ;)

Right next to Flotante too. Yum yum.

a friend/business associate of ours who travels thousands of miles and stays in all the top hotels round the globe absolutely loves the hostal talamanca - it's small, friendly, simple, has no airs and graces and is perfectly positioned for a ' just bring shorts and t-shirt' holiday.

Yes that sums it up, I'd definatly stay again.

I do think that that "BUT" implies negativeness, but considering I spent half of my time lost in translation my opinion may be useless
I think you're doing much better than grego and he's allegedly been speaking English his whole life.

:D:D

Btw Like your signature sil. My five minutes web research says it means "And an angel displays her wings and leaves the sky full of light". Close?

Re: the debate about resorts, personally I like gay areas. I've never spent much time in Figueretas but I've lived in apartments near Calle de la Virgen in Ibiza Town. Inside the walls of D'Alt Vila is even nicer - fewer smackheads.

I'm very impressed with your translation skills, it can't be closer, altho in spanish and catalans angels are usually male ;)
It's from a song by Antonia Font, a mallorquín group who are my very fave at the moment :D

Well i chose san an bay after this very long discussion! Plan on a couple of nights out in ibiza town and want to do a bit of travelling around the island (if the heat lets us in July/August) to see where we can visit next year!

Thanks everyone (even tho i dont think san an bay was recommended-ha)

:DI know this string has moved on a bit,

but :D

compare these two statements-

Figuretes is really nice prom.but also a lot of gays

Figuretes is really nice prom.and also has a lot of gays

Actually in this case it does. It implies gays are not nice.

No, but the latter is an example of something contrary to the possible expectations someone might have of the former.

The conjunctive but by its definition puts words or concepts in opposition.
