Which resort? Santa Eulalia, Playa den bossa or the Bay?

I cant decide!

We are a young couple in our early 20s who have never been to ibiza before.

We love going out til late, but also enjoys nights where we can just go out for a meal then to a couple of bars for a few drinks.

We love Palma nova because we can walk into the livelier magaluf for a good night out.

Which resorts in ibiza can offer what we want? Im considering the bay, altho i think it may be a little too commercialised for us, playa den bossa and santa eulalia. Altho i dont want somewhere which is dead at night!

Thanks

playa den bossa all the way

myself and my now fiance met in ibiza and have now been for last three years together.

I would not recommend santa eualia, its a bit out of it and not exactly banging at nite

last year stayed in cala llonga and hired a car to get into ibiza town and explore island which was good but on other side of island to san an

san an is good for sunset strip but chav city mainly, depends which clubs your off to and which nites are on

would say playa den bossa good mixture of location, things to do and day clubs as well as the fact your near the airport

wanna know anything else just drop me a mail ;)

playa den bossa all the way

your near the airport.waterpark.space(nightclub).within walking distants of ibizatown.lots of bars.mini club bars.good places to eat.easy to get ferry boats.bora bora beach bar.15 mins if that on bus to ibiza town.from there you can go anywhere on island.i would hire a car from airport to airport.that way you can tour the island.and beat people back to get your flight.no hassle of getting the coach.pdb is a very mixed raced place to stay.lots of young people but i would say as well a lot of familys stay there as well.lots to do for all ages really.at night in summer its packed.soon as space opens say 1st week in june.you may find it hard to get a room.but the place is buzzing then......its just a matter of getting a good base to stay at.getting around the island is easyer than you think.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Had ruled out playa den bossa due to some reviews i had read, but after your comments its definately somewhere to consider.

Any hotel reccommendations in pdb?

Personally I don't think PDB as a resort is particularly nice - if you're a clubber then it can't be beaten cos you've got Space and Bora Bora on your doorstep but if you're looking for more than clubbing the majority of the bars and restaurants in PDB are pretty dire.

Have you thought about Figuretes - that way you can walk into Ibiza Town and Playa den Bossa for nights out.

talamanca seems to be a buzz word here these days. however it's mere mention isn't really a help to anyone - for example i've only ever been once in summer on an end of term school trip and the beach was full of screaming kids - so why should someone who likes the palma nova/magaluf scene like talamanca?

Never heard of talamaca. But dont fancy the screaming kiddies! Heard of figuretes, but isnt it really quiet?

There's plenty of bars and restaurants in Figuretes and it is a good base cos you can walk one way to PDB and the other to Ibiza Town in 20 mins if you want a livelier night out.

Yeah thats what we want really. To be out of it away from the large groups of young people through the day, but to have the option to go out and join them on a night!

Is it a 20 min walk then? Is the walk on the beach or the back roads?

You can easily walk from Figuretes down to say Bora Bora in 20 mins either along the beach or down the main road to PDB. Similarly it takes the same distance to walk into Ibiza Town along the main road.

and also if you went with a school trip, is it a surprise that the beach was full of screaming kids. :?

We've stayed in Talamance 8/10 times we visit, and it's my personal recommendation Stephen, thats all.
Nice beach, cheap places to eat, close to Pacha, and you can't beat the view of the old town when you catch the ferry over.
Plus lots of nice places to stay from private apartments to cheap hostals on the beach to El hotel.

Figuretes/pdb is what i meant to say.Figuretes is really nice prom.but also a lot of gays?..i would say it is a good 20 min walk to pdb..but god knows where you get 20 mins to get into ibizatown..you only have to walk down one main road,to the clock near the port area..or are you thinking about es vive area..now thats a nice little area...
i should know i have been going out there since 83.....

Where did you stay in Cala Llonga, and did you like it?

sorry about what i put ...its not full of people of that nature.but its a area they tend to have used as a base over the years.with it begin near town.Figuretes does get familys on hols as well.thing is now with all the building work in es vive pdb.ect..you could say in a few years it will just be one big resort..no gaps to tell them apart...Barbie we all have i fav places to stay.mine is pdb..with begining a bit older now.i find it just right for me.but i would say san an is a very nice place to stay for people in there 20s.we all have how own views on ibiza...now lets not all fallout over any of the forums...

......and :?

come barbie get off your high pc horse. there are lots of gays in fig - fact. there are lots of the dreaded brits abroad in san an, there are lots of clubbers in pdb. they're all factors we take into account when booking a holiday, as much as how far away the beach is and how much a pint costs.

I know there's lots of gays in Figuretes I just didn't know why that was a negative for the person concerned and why it would affect his choice of holiday resort :? If someone said there's a lot of crime in a resort or a lot of fighting etc etc then I could see why you might avoid it but I didn't know what the gays did that was so bad you'd want to avoid them.
