Which DJ's at Global Gathering do you want to see?

I know Tom and Alex really want to see the Oakenphant and PVD but apart from that I'm happy just to follow everyone else. There's no-one really in the line-up that you won't get the chance to see over the next 3 months so I'll be happy wherever we end up :D

I'm not going to be too bothered if I don't see pvd. I've gone off him a lot but he might be good for a bit at Goblin. I just wanted Jamie to embrace him for a bit cos we made an agreement after I embraced pete wardman and bk.

i will certainly be checking out Oakie on the beach, though hopefully he won't be terrible like he was on the outdoor arena at creamfields last year!!!

as well as that:

Sasha
Lawler
Danny Howells
Erick
Nick Warren

and i would like to catch Adam Freeland as have never seen him.

having said that, it will all no doubt go very wrong!!

OMG so you were at Creamfields last year Si, Oakie's set on the outdoor stage was diabolical, can you remember when he played Benny Bennassi - Satisfication 8O 8O

Was he really that bad Si? Strange, Barbie said he was brilliant last year, apparently he played her favourite anthem from 2003, benny benassi - satisfaction!! 8O  ;)

I don't mind embracing a bit of PVD, he normally plays bout 10 or midnight at festivals so we might all be in the mood for a bit of trance 8O I actually like a bit of trance at festivals, get on the poppers and throw a few euphoric trance shapes

Depends on weather as well, if it's a nice day then it will be perfect on the beach with Oakie, Sanchez and Deluxe, if it's raining then we'll be just grateful for the first tent we come to

Alex - yes he was very very poor. admiitedly he wasn't helped by poor sound qulaity and the fact he was on early, but he was still poor. Oakie has been responsible for some of my greatest nights out and it was sad to hear him as poor as that.

So, Babs - like your Tom, it upset me to admit it to. especially as my ladyeee always slags him off and she was there to witness his poorness.

It was a mistake to put him on outside, in previous years he has destroyed the indoor arenas he has played in. the first liverpool creamfields he was outstanding and he was also excellent at 'mudbath2000'

I had such high hopes for his set tho, I saw him play some of the best sets of my life in Cream and thought he would pull out all the stops cos he was returning to his spiritual home (kind of  ;) ) and then we get the likes of bloody Benny Bennassi  8O

I'm hoping he redeems himself next Saturday and plays like the Oakie we all loved of old :D ;) And if not, well me and Danielle will just have to have a laugh at yours and Tom's expense ;)

If the sun is shining then we may well be ;)

The sun will shine 8) By the law of weather averages, 2002 was hot and sunny, 2003 was a mudbath, hence 2004 will be hot and sunny :D

Just call me Ulrika-ka-ka with my weather forecasting skills

i can't see a return to form of the cream years. the residency was something special, its hard explaining it to people who weren't there - the atmosphere, the sense of anticipation, the knowledge that you were part of something special (god, how bad does that sound!!?)

but anyway, it was funking brilliant!!!!

as long as he plays a few old records at GG i will be happy!! Piledriver and rendezvous would do very nicely!!!

I know what you mean ;)

Now Piledriver would go down a treat on the beach :D

No doubt Tom'll be getting all his old Oakie CDs out for journey up there and aftershow shenanigans so we can have a blast from the past :D

i reckon my oakie cd's will be well and truly banned from my car on the way there!!!

Surely you can't be deprived of your Oakie CDs, it could be the closest you get to hearing a decent Oakie set that wkend ;)

Is Danielle coming up to Goblin? We will have to convert her to the trance side

my lovely girlfriend will be in attendance, however, there is NO chance she will be converted to embracing the trance!! my brother and i have been trying for the 2odd years we have known her!!!

although, on the flip side of that, i will be point blank refusing to accompnay her to the d n'b arena which she will be wanting to attend!!

At least you're even stevens then. I don't mind d&b for half an hour but it bores me.
