Love love LOVE Oakie and always will... through everything... he was the man that got me in to electronic music, period. I find it hard to believe that everyone on this board who gives a damn about that music has not been extremely moved by his it at some point or another. I feel he has contributed immensely to the music and for that, he is held high in my heart. :P

So whom else do we think should be up to the job? I am with chewie, in that I don't think there should be a DJ there at all. But if we had to pick one, hypothetically speaking... maybe Armin? Prolly someone trancey..... :?:

i have been heavily influenced by paul oakenfold, he undoubdtely was the reason i started going to cream nearly 10 years ago. I was a regular at cream throughout his 3 years as resident and been present at some of his defining sets, during the peak of the uk superclubs.

this however doesnt stop me being realistic and thinking he is dogshit now.
