which d.j's still mix with vinyl???

Villalobos seems to be pretty vinyl only .Alot of the minimal ppl are too . Luciano as well but lots use Final Scratch / Serato so haklfway vinyl

yeah i know its cliched but with cd's i dont get that "feel" of the music , more like u are manipulating a file than using something real.

London boys Shane Watcha n Giles Smith are vinyl purists

With downloads being so much cheaper than vinyl, I'm increasingly using CDs.

But I like being able to switch between the two.

I thought it was the following week (14th) they were gona start doin zombies at the end with jaded?

Dammit - I knew that made more sense!

So know im just going to a normal jaded this Sunday. Oh well...will have to go next week as well!!

At least one of us has their finger on the pulse!

may well go to Jaded so will c u there tho wont know who u r! Seems techno is pretty on the vinyl thing. In drum n bass hardly anyone uses cd's n the new tunes all get played off dubplates.

Was a vinyl purist for 12 years until last year, wouldn't even consider CDJs but the massive saving you make on buying downloads, and also the convienience of downloads have changed my mind and I'm about to buy some Pioneer CDJ 800s and a Pioneer DJM400. I had a shot of that exact set up and I had immense fun with it. Vinyl will always be better in my eyes and I'll use it whenever I can but I can't really afford to buy records as much as I want.

I've also started buying music from different genres as downloads are so much cheaper. So now I play across the board, breaks, techno, progressive etc, which for me is a huge plus.
