Which country makes the best beer?

Belgium makes a lot of the best beers, but also some terrible ones (the aforementioned Kriek being a prime example). Germany is the most consistently good, but England isn't far behind either.

I can't profess to be a beer conosseur by any means but I do quite like Singha bear from Thailand.

This is probably down to nostalgia more than anything though.

Beer Chang is also nice but bloody lethal. :?
 
The best producers of 'Beer' are English brewers. With great brands such Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen to Adnams Broardside.

Challenge yourself next your at the pub to one of the 'Beers' instead of LAGER!

Most of the Japanese sushi beers, Kirin and Sapporo are made using German technology/processes. That is probably why they taste very much like Warsteiner. I for myself like a good Pilsner, whether it is a Japanese one or a Krautenheimer product does not really matter.

Uh, actually, lager is beer.

Beer comes in 2 forms: Lager and Ale. The distinction between the 2 is based on the style of brewing.

The beers you mentioned are Ales.

Personally, I prefer American IPAs to British ones. They have that same hoppy flavor but more carbonation as the Brits like their ales flat (and room temperature :? )
 
Does anyone else get as annoyed as me when foreigners think we all sitting round drinking flat pints of room temperature lager?

I had a pedigree last weekend which was quite nice..

I love the ales available at the Porterhouse pub just off covent garden, yum yum yum

Real ale is served at cellar temperature .... C (54-57 F), which is somewhat cooler than room temperature. If real ale is too warm it is not appetizing, it loses its natural conditioning (the liveliness of the beer due to the dissolved carbon dioxide). CAMRA.
 
I'd say they're all pretty good.

Never had Brakespear on draught but it is by far the best beer from a can with a really good head.

Loveley beer when it's kept well but at our local it was so sulphurous now and again that we all called it Eggigree.
