Where's the sun?

Finally, after another day of full cloud, showers and being cool the sun breaks in San An at 6.45 ibiza time....yippee. might be my first sunset in 8 days.

It's not that bad. Like stivi said its warm. What I have realised is my love for the island is unconditional. People are still smiling and the music is still playing.

Wtf with the change of flight path? Why did no one mention this?

I'm only there Monday to Thursday. Might get a bit of sun on Thursday by the looks of it. Not on speaking terms with the Gulf Stream at the moment. It's rained all"summer" at home and now it's going to rain when I go to Ibiza...

^^ very late August through mid September is a very dodgy time to pick to go if you want sunshine - best time of year for clubbing till 9am and sleeping all day as you don't miss much .. never understood why people do that early Season when the days are almost always long, sunny and hot . Also when you get home it's virtually long sleeve weather already, so not much point bothering too much about getting a good tan as you hardly get much chance to show it. Early Season definitely still rules for me - just a shame about all those blooming tourists with the same idea :D.

Weather here looks better this week, but it's not exactly hot beach weather at 16-18 degrees in the SW !

Looking at the forecast it's as low as 13 degrees on a night ? Surely not

It feels much cooler at night after August over there and I personally definitely need a thicker long sleeve top or an extra layer after sunset. Much prefer hot nights for being outside - you almost never get that in UK and when you do the houses are not designed for it ! Those steaming hot sultry nights are pretty much reserved for July and August.

I have gone in September for years and have never worn anything but a T shirt, last year the first two weeks of September were the hottest time of the year. Always still have to sleep with the air con on as well.

am sitting outside in shorts and t-shirt right now and it's just perfect.

looks like there's one last series of potential thunderstorms coming monday night and then from tuesday onwards the stable climate (sun, sun, sun) should be back for good :)

maybes im just getting old, jeans, tshirt and flip flops and i feel chilly on the front outside orange corner.

It's El Niño this year and I think weather patterns do get disrupted or augmented a bit here and there so I wouldn't be surprised if there's some variation to norm this year, but which way it goes is anyone's guess. Hoping for a hot and sunny 2nd half of September. Just got landed with a load of stuff to sort out this week so toying with a visit before the closing parties bring along another window of Ibiza "blackout" onto the cards if I can get it together to get away nearer the time. Otherwise, if it's still hot, been meaning to head to Îles d'Hyères again for ages but never got it together before the weather turned or the direct flights to Toulon stop (always way too early !).

well i go home tomorrow and after 20 odd years holidaying in ibiza (mainly san an) ive never had weather like this in september. Last day is wet, grey, very miserable in san an, well below 20 degrees. Looking forward to the uk and getting some decent weather.

Wonder if it will be like this when im back in october??

Its been Pouring for the last hour.
As a wise man said (or was it D-ream) "things can only get better" ... or at least drier. I think I can see a break in the clouds.
So what do you do in San An when its pouring? Much to the wife's disgust it might have to be the football on the TV
