Where to stay, Playa d'en Bossa or San Antonio?

Dirk ever been to the Berlin? Whats your thoughts on it? Think Im going to go see Ame there tomorrow (if i can raise the cash that is).

I assume you mean the Berlin Bier Haus in Edinburgh and not the place?

Great wee club with really low roofs and an intimate atmosphere. Should be a great night ( I am working on Monday    and spent all my pennies at Groove Armada in Glasgow on Monday)

Dirk you should tell the truth, if someone wanted to go to space or bora bora often a cab rides would sting a bit.8) 8) 8)

they do, and as someone who is likely to spend most of september on that side of the island i will be staying in playa den bossa this year. i do however prefer san antonio as a town to PDB but it makes more sense to be on the other side for me.

will still be getting a couple of buses over to catch some sunsets i think, probably before cocoon and monza closings 8)

That is one reason why we stay over PDB/Figuretes/Ibiza Town side cos a few years back we were staying @ the Palmyra in San An Bay and between Sunday and Tues sesh taking in Space/DC10/Manumission and then Carry On/Bora Bora/Perfecto we ended up spending about £200 in taxis on random journeys to and across the island :spank:

At the time it seemed like money well spent

I am not anti San An, I recommend where to stay based upon what they would like to do on holiday. I believe in giving the beest info I can without an motive like some.:spank: :spank:

I would rather pay the extra, but point taken. I stayed at the Pamyra a couple of times. Nice place, but a few strange looks sometimes beside the pool at 08.00 in the morning straight out from a club. 8O I have a cracking video where I try and get a sunbed beside all the normal codgers and everyone just runs past me and grabs them and I dont have a clue what is going on. I ended up with no bed.

ive stayed in pdb and san antonio (calo des moro part) and san an always wins for the sunsets. also some of the newer bars (hush, plastik etc) are pretty good.

as there are always at least 4 of us we can usually reclaim our cab fare to the bigger clubs anyway...... and one of party doesnt drink so there is always a sober driver on hand lol

i find PDB a bit lacking outside of space/bora bora, ive stayed there a few times... at jet, club bahamas, bali beach and ebano apts, all of which are great but guess i miss the susnsets too much!!

am going to give it another try this sept though.... as in san an in june... perhaps this is the perfect answer - go twice a year!:D

I enjoy the sunsets also, but I like 2 walk 2 Bora bora and back 2 my hotel for a change and shower b4 going out 4 the night. Where you stay is about your budget and palces you want to goto more often. I like Ibiza town also, when it is not 2 hot I walk into town or walk home; it works off the drinks.8)

I have to agree with Dirk Biggler, PDB is like any other taky spanish resort. If you forget Bora Bora and Space you can easely imagine you are in Costa Blanca, Costa Brava, Costa del Sol.

At the end of the day, the choice depends in what do you expect to do and where do you expect to spend more time during the holidays and be a bit practical.

I live and goto those tacky spanish resorts. My Spanish friends always say to me we just got a batch of new tourist in. I agree with you stay near or in an area that you will use the most. The isle is set up for tourist just like where I live. I do what the locals do so now they are me local.:)

Sorry, I don't get what your   mean. Is tacky an offensive word?
When I say tacky I don't want to offend anyone.
I've read several times in this forum that PDB is by far the best place, the nicest and the best beach aswell. OK, it's all about tastes and of course there's the practical side of the choice, but if you look at the place with a bit of objectiviness you would agree that the place looks like most resorts in the rest of the country which usually are everything except charming.

I disagree with the "isle is set up for tourists" tho. Some part of the island is set up for tourists (San An, PDB mainly), the problem is that most tourists never dare to explore further those two resorts and the clubs.;)

Just joking with:roll: . Not serious, just having fun. The where to stay debate is crazy. I want people who don't know about Ibiza to stay close 2 where they will be going, I never take offense.
