The intensity of the colours is to do with the degrees of incoming sunlight and the degrees of your position as the viewer.
It is bizarre to realise these salt lakes are spreading this remarkable bright colour palette all the time and nobody sees it because of the fact that they are on ground level. It even explanes why the gods and aliens in their ufo's don't need drugs. It's all there! Done by humans!
At BONAIRE you will see it from ground level while traveling by the lakes which become more pink and light purple all the time ending in a salt mine. But there you are on equatorial level concerning the suns influence.
The San Francisco foto (the second one, somewere around SF bay area) is particular because it shows colours I never saw in a salt field. But it explanes a bit what I am looking for. A painters palet.

. If you fly weekly or daily to Formentera this would be an easy task? The photo at the airport securety section in the airport departure area at the wall is a good example. But I prefer that the middle of the photo is pointed at the salt pickup point at the middle of salinas, next to the road to the salinas-beach area. Like on the Space Shuttle Photo: here it is again:

I was stung at Es Cavallet and was paranoid for the rest of my trip. There went my all over tan as well, but some girls in the locker room have said that my white bottom looks cute.

Wow - I couldn't have handled a few stings. Half of my left hand felt like it had been electrocuted. I barely have a scar now, thank goodness.
I need to go back and work on my all over tan again!
