especially if you can hear the music from no matter where, I feel less than compelled to compete, or less so argue about position on the floor.

When it's shoulder to shoulder, well, I should say instead that on at least one occasion there was some poor lonely guy standing in such a way that made one wonder... He was really sort of enjoying being altogether too close.

When I was younger I'd go down the front, turn to face the crowd and feed off their energy. Now I'm fat, old and much less fit and healthy I tend to just dance at the sides where I have a bit more room and feel much less conspicuous
