Where are the best places on the island to take photos?

I love taking lots of photos when I go on holiday and was just wondering where the best spots are to get some good shots from, apart from the obvious sunset strip.

Go to Cala d'Hort and you'll be able to take a picture of Es Vedra, which is the mysterious mountain in the sea. I love that beach. :)

gecko i went there on wednesday....
i was really surprised to find both beach restaurants open and sunbeds on the beach!!

IMO I'd say that Cala d'Hort and Cala Jondal are the best beaches on the island. Although I haven't had the opportunity to visit all of them yet.

What's the restaurant on top of the cliff to the right like? I've seen the link to it on here but haven't heard from anyone eating there.

Can't wait to go back. ;)

My best photo was taken when I sat in the middle of the egg and used my Supasnaps waterproof. To this day all my friends marvel at it.

geck...urmm i think i'm thinking of another beach around that are. i think i mean cala carbo, but cala d'hort is a fabulous beach!!

correct robo.

i was at cala d'hort on wednesday and only one beach restaurant was open and there wasn't a single sun lounger.

McRackin

McRackin, those are some AWESOME shots! Just the kind of thing I had in mind, I have four weeks left and lots of research to do yet! When I go I have about 10 rolls of film to get through and a digital camera too, so I really dont want to be coming home with 9 films unused because when I got there I didnt have a clue where to head for. I only have a week and dont know when I will get chance to head back a second time, so I really need to make the most of the time I have there.

I know its not all about the photography, but if you do the job properly, just looking back on your photos when you get home can almost make you feel like you are there again!! That series of photos from the sunset at cafe del mar made me feel like I had already been to ibiza and watched it once - nice work McRackin, I take my hat off to you!

By the way, (without wanting to bore everyone) what camera were you using?

nothing special - a cheap digital camera!!

I only ask about the camera because you shot straight into the sun and that can seriously ruin a digital camera, so I thought you would be using a film one. Digital cameras have a CCD, the image sensor, which is extremely sensitive to sunlight and can easy be damaged by shooting into direct sunlight. Ya been lucky fella, but the results were worth it. Hope to get some like that myself in a months time.

benieres (excuse spelling) Best sunset, wicked view on the way up if you walk..

Cala vadella (little winding path with view of harbour)
