Potentially useful thread for me. Never really been into cars. Drive a Merc E240 but it's about 5 years old now, so I should really change it. Any suggestions. I'm willing to spend up to about £35K if I really like something but I can't see myself going that mad for a car?

What would a year old Merc of the same ilk cost me then car fans? Suggest anything similar?

For 35K you could pick up an 2003 Audi S4 4.2 Quattro - gorgeous piece of machinery!
