What's the weather like at the moment?

not when the government sends out an alarm message, surely they have to stop at least until the worst is over.

Just received our alert. Plus no electricity where we are in Cala Salada. My husband made it back from the shops before it got too bad (and before the alert) but was absolutely drenched and said roads in San Antonio are turning into rivers and cars abandoned.

Look like the heavy rain, thunder & lightning will last into tomorrow morning.

Interestingly, it only seems to be the east coast mainland and the Balearics affected by this. Nowhere else in Europe.

Not looking great into next week either. Hopefully the weather change and it's not just rain & storms every day...

yes we might be in for a week of mixed weather, but judging by the current forecasts, I don't expect such heavy rains & storms like today or the one last week

I am seeing social media videos from Playa d'en Bossa...How can Ushuaia still go ahead with these floods? At the very least people will not be able to arrive safely, if at all. At the worst it is dangerous to have an event with thousands of people in this weather

100% agreed.

dozen of outdoor events (fairs, cultural events, sports etc) have been cancelled beforehand, and TNL knew we'd be on orange alert. personally I really can't understand their reckless stance on this

I said that...doubt duty of care comes into place when cash in involved sadly

They have no limit when it's a question of money.

And look at Akasha....very good at telling everyone in advance. I hope everyone gets home safe from PDB

We moved today down this way from Fig, main road just doesn't seem to drain. Roads around not too bad though.

Some girls went out 20 minutes ago all dressed up for what I can only assume will be Ushuaia. Admire their optimism. People in next door hotel partying on balcony.

I'm waiting with a glass or two of red in the bar. Boy happy he found cider and has retired to the room.

Plan was sleep then early doors up to Amnesia for second night and sunrise. Very much enjoyed last night.

Is it ever gonna stop, the cyclone just seems to be going round and round, trapped between two anticyclones (one of which is over UK!).
