What's the weather like at the moment?

Of course the best day of the week is the one I'm going home! Walked a little behind the port, around Plaza hotel, and boy did it stink. Some workers were busy with the drains, one job I wouldn't like?
 
The weather is sunny and still cooler for sure and windy today. But a few people at Figueretes are sunbathing! No swimming allowed still - guessing the water bacteria levels are too high that’s why there’s a red flag? Not sure what other beaches are like.

Well the sea will be full of....everything! Saw a video of a full bin being washed into the sea.

I'll be there next week, and I would be surprised if it was safe to swim, and I probably wouldn't anyway.

Hope the sea on the south coast is cleaner but chances are too cold by then for me.

Anyone know if you can buy an indoor swim at Hotel Maritimo or similar?
 
cloudy start into today. tomorrow (tuesday) and wednesday should be pretty nice and sunny. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not looking grand for thu, fri and sat. forecasts are still evolving and changing, but especially thursday might be a pretty rainy day again.

Yes, looks like another batch of heavy rain on the way, hopefully the majority of drains will be cleared etc - hopefully nothing like the torrent we got last week.
 
update on forecast:

tomorrow wednesday looks like a really nice and sunny day - and it could be the last day that really feels like summer for a while I think
thursday: we're on orange weather alert again! high chance of rain and also quite a high chance of a bigger quantity of rain in a short period of time
friday: a bit better again, mix of sun and clouds and possibly a few drops
saturday: almost certainly some rain again, although less than on thursday

and then from sunday onwards the forecast looks uncertain, but for now gives a mix of sun, clouds and rain for quite a few days. the low pressure system arriving on thursday might be around for a while judging by the forecasts.

overall, I have a feeling we might not get this stable late summer october weather this year the way we had it lately. I mean it's still warm, it won't be pissing down all the time, the sunsets are bloody fantastic right now and maybe in a few days the forecast changes completely, but right now this is what it is.

The upside is that I don't feel guilty about sleeping in until late. Not missing the sun I've "paid" for.

Decided to do Trip tonight on the night off since it's all up in the air (literally) from here.

A good point was made when someone said you can lie in without it being on your conscious as mid-day isn't until 2pm-ish on Ibiza (Summer time) so if you get up at 11am, it's only really 9 and you have three hours until mid-day (and then have s siesta!).

Think it was Franco who wanted Spain's time zone to be that of Germany's under Hitler, which was a bit daft as Spain is to the west of Germany by some distance!!! And it never got changed back...

Always throws me a little in Porto & the Canaries when the time doesn't change. Just expect it to.

Wondered why they never changed back after Franco, guess it's now too ingrained.
