The water is mostly gone now. Couple inches left which hope gone in morning when have to drag my suitcase....

How's it looking this morning?Yeah the hotel is working fine except to get to and from rooms you gotta go for a swim at minute.
I'm hoping they unblock the drains soon, so by afternoon its gone.
Pool won't be usable though.
I should have booked the twiins again
Edit: I suspect you might have to go to different hotel anyhow as all ground floor rooms out of action now.

But basically all the water gone, now an army of staff clearing the floor of silt etc.
So think end of today pool area be fine.
The pool will need complete draining and refill, but no idea how long that would take or if worth it before end of season.

So those of us returning to the North of UK this weekend have another dose of weather to look forward to. easyJet have already informed me there's likely to be delays or cancellations, Manchester is in the fringe if the amber alert area.
If easyJet contacted me and offered a flight to Gatwick instead I might take that and stay overnight and the train home in Sunday!
Fingers crossed anyway - just in case been looking at prices for Ibiza town hotels if an overnight is needed, kinell almost all well over a ton. easyJet, and/or my insurers will get the bill!

Talking to some people, it seems they not checking anyone in anymore and at reception are moving people to other hotels.
But some are quite a way out of pdb which is a bit pants.
So no idea what will happen when you get there.
Perhaps if you had already a non ground floor room booked you be checked in?
(Maybe this should be under a new thread or hotels discussion?)

When I was leaving, the tunnel at bottom of pdb was not only still full of water, but mountains of mud and silt.
The traffic was going a different, and looked pretty slow moving tbh.

Thanks, on Sat I'll leave an hour earlier to cover any delay, looks like a mammoth job to clear up. Hopefully weekend traffic will be lighter.

Airport road is absolutely fine now btw.

Can confirm road from airport to PDB is open and no problems.
PDB itself at least the strip around Bora Bora not noticeable that there was anything out of the ordinary. Didn’t venture down further towards Beachhhouse, Nassau, Tanit so can‘t comment on how it is down there.
As we had to cancel Fergus, we went to Ebano in PDB and no issues whatsoever.
Weatherwise absolutely beautiful!! Sun out, light breeze, no aircon needed in the room as can just leave the balcony open. Perfect!
Really feel for the areas affected by the rainstorm and hope they can get it sorted. But as for the areas we’ve seen so far, they’ve done an amazing job.

Not good for any business to have flood damage but at least Bossa was coming to the end of its season and has time to recover. Whereas Ibiza Town and Figuertas have year round businesses that need to keep going quickly.
