What's the weather like at the moment?

Never known it to be this hot in June - it’s relentless! Plus I know we’ve got this (or ever hotter) for another 2.5 months at least. 🥵

we just got back home after a few days up the coast and you really feel it more, the intensity, smells, fumes, insect species you didn't know existed. All too forgotten are the waiters, tour guides, parking wardens, human statues, jehovah's witnesses who have to work in this day in day out.

The fumes….

Ibiza will feel like a refridgerator when the temps reach 40c inland next week! 47.6 is the record and could possibly be under threat. As the above post says - feel sorry for anyone working in that, should make the siesta 9am - 10pm and work through the night!!

Meanwhile while it might be 39c in Seville, just a few miles further south in Gibraltar it's forecast no greater than a fresh 23c!! See, wherever the Brits place their flag we take our lousy weather with us!!

13c, rain, 30 knots of wind, and only a few glimses of sun today. Just a normal summer day on the west coast of Norway.

There are two massive cruise ships in port today, and the center of town has been swamped with tourists. Lots of them come for the cold and bad weather. They call it a coolcation.

I was something rather exotic in amongst the crowds: An actual inhabitant (still) living in the center of town, going about my business. Soon the tourists will be wanting to take pictures of people like me.
