What's the best sound system you've ever heard?

Watch your hearing, kiddies. I'm really careful but have still developed tinitus :(

I'm not that bad now but it can't be far off. I had some expensive earplugs fitted last year but have yet to use them, which is rather stupid of me. I think I'm going to start doing so from now on.

I too was struck by the number of people with earplugs at Space this year. If I'm honest, I think it's the fear of looking like an old git that's stopped me from putting the plugs in before now. Muy estupido.

Where was Buzz? Is that in the same area as the old Tracks or DC Ballroom?

Yeah, it was the Old Capital Ballroom......they had a really nice Avalon system in the main room.

They are knocking all those nightclubs and strip bars down to make room for parking for the baseball stadium.

Ya... I read about that in the Wash. Post online. Sad news really as that area of town was always good for clubbing (and I suppose even more fun if you're gay given the bars around). Tracks was my first nightclub back in the '80s and I've been to the Ballroom a few times too. Oh well... progress, right?

Last time I was back home I couldn't find a decent club that played straight-up house (always r&b/hip-hop or hard house.. yuck!). I assumed it was just because I didn't know the lay of the land anymore as it can't be all bad. What's good these days?
