What's so good about Pacha

i agree, whilst all my friends raved on about the eric morillo night last week being their best night all week (n god knows i luv eric) i just fail to see year after year why people love it so much, its a lovely looking club but just doesnt shine out to me, n the fact u constantly fall in and out ov strange corners/on and off raised areas makes it even more less appealling for a "messy" night, its a club to be "seen" in i suppose!! n y the hell r the staff so RUDE!

anyone happen to have a copy of the floor plan? it used to be on the pacha site showing the club layout but has now disappeared. :?

if there is any club can't be knocked for having a diverse music policy, then it has to be pacha...........

in addition to "that pacha sound" in the main room, el cielo, pachacha and the global room are about as diverse as it gets in an ibicenco dance club.

Pacha was my least favorite club when I visited Ibiza last year. I actually prefer the Pacha in NYC much more to the original in Ibiza, simply for a better music policy and the lack of pretension at Pacha NYC.

No doubt Pacha Ibiza is a beautiful space with a lovely soundsystem. However, that's where my compliments end. First, I thought the crowd there was terrible. Lots of "scene and be seen" types. Where Space and DC-10 have a very "international" crowd, I feel that Pacha is very machismo Euro. And that's not a good thing, in my opinion.

Secondly, while the other clubs get a hard time for drug use, the amount of drunk people staggering out of Pacha and into their cars is terrible. I had no less than 3 practically spill their entire drink on me at Pacha; this happened at no other club. Throughout the night I heard the sound of breaking glass as another drunkard dropped their drink on the floor. It's a very serious safety problem, especially for women wearing sandals or other uncovered footwear.

Third, the dancefloor at Pacha is completely dead. There is little energy, when compared to places like Space, DC-10 or Amnesia. No one is losing it to the music; in fact, most people are either starring at the idiotic dancers on the stages or too busy trying to pick up women/men.

Fourth, the main room is not properly ventilated. The smoke is just unbearable and by the end of the night I could hardly breath. This is actually a huge problem for me, because if it's hard to breath then it's hard to dance and have a good time. Going to Pacha was the only instance in which I left a club in Ibiza and I absolutely stunk like cigarettes. I had to wash my hair 3 times before I got rid of the smell! :?

Unless Pacha brought in some amazing musical guest that I could not miss, I would probably never go there again. The entire place is like one big VIP room where people are more content to nurse their bottles of booze than get up and dance.

here here! Its the working class, common people that know how to have a good time without even thinking about it. The seen and be seen crowd dont have a clue and are too busy wearing their sunglasses inside a dark club at night and are missing the whole point. SHALLOW!!!

shallow? think ur comment there buddy is way too shallow!!!!

i love Pacha to bits cos its the best house music venue in Ibiza and a place where near enough every nite of the week you can see one of your favourite house dj's. i dont go there to 'BE SEEN' as you say, plus im working class too thank you. it isnt just full of the kind of people you are mentioning. alot of people are there to have a good time, like myself. Pacha is my favourire club in Ibiza. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, just dont tar everyone with the same brush yeah :x

I'm confused now. We were there at that point in the video and so wa Morales. Did he actually play or was he just acting as barman. Does not help that no one in the club (that we spoke to) could actually tell us he was there.

1 more reason why Pacha is Pants/Pish/Pretentious (Delete as you will)

Is this comment based on 1 night?? Then I suggest trying it one more time at defected or def mix for example. I've had some of the best nights ever with really cool partypeople who were really into the music and where the 'VIP vibe' was not present at all.
