Whats so bad about the westend??

the west end??
hmm!!
take all the bad things from any yates/wetherspoons bar any friday night in any town/city in england,
i.e pissed up meat-heads, drunken brawls, cheap people, cheap clothes, sick on ther floor, kebabs, crying girls, crying boys, flip & fill blasting at 100 decibels, binge drinking, stripe/check shirts, fake burberry/gucci/louis vuitton etc, etc!!
add 80 degree humidity and u have the west-end!!!
u have to go though just to see it and it does come in handy if u dont fancy going home alone as u can usually find someone who is too drunk to know better!!!

I heard so many bad things about it on this board,
but having a free spirit I went one night. It is
cheesy, there's people bumpin' and grindin',
acting like fools and super drunk. But I still had
fun! It's nowhere like the clubs and the mellow
beaches, but if you just want to go out on a bender
and spend 40 Euro, try it out. I was just looking
for a slightly different experience than the clubs
which are freaking awesome, but even they can
wear on you with the big crowds and expensive
drinkies.....I'm from the US, so it's not really
comparable to places out here, but the crowd is
definitely younger and out to hook up. My advice:
if you want to get hammered and party like you
were 19 again, do it

sure - everything schould be tried at least once- but just don´t expect to have a genuine ibiza experience lol*

Ami,
I see your staying in Hawaii, thats in the Bay area, it tends to be a bit quieter around that side of San An. A short walk and you will be able to reach 2 of the Ibizan supperclubs (all be it, possibly not the best but better than any British Clubs) Es Paradis & Eden.
Depending on your clubbing habbits, you'll probably find that you will kick off a nigh at the Sunset Strip (not to be missed) followed by a few drinks around the west end as they are extremely cheap (it's quite friendly really, stayed in San An 4 times now and never had any bother), it does get untidy towards the end of the night as you would expect with the concentration of bars and cheap drink.
Then off to one of the big clubs, personal favourite being Amnesia (particularly Cream).
You will have a fantastic time.
PS. You should try the train trip from the Egg in San An, it's bizzarre.

he´s done some early 90´s stuff as well - Bakerstreet huge dancehit in 91 - 92 I believe and lot´s of other things before hitting the jackpot with W.L ! Really talented guy!

Lets turn this on its head-THE BEST THING ABOUT THE WEST END IS...at 5am when the cleaners come & out in force & clear all the debris off the street. & a sterling job they do too

The West End is Britains Blackpool!!!!
The West End is just like any other Brtish hol strip in Ibiza and especially reminds me of Las Americas in Tenerife! bloody terrible The West End is how the media portray Ibiza and is why it has such a bad reputation and as as result when I tell people I am going to Ibiza thats how they associate it. Watch Reps in Ibiza on Sky travel 139 at about 111ish that will give you a pretty good idea because all they show is the West End and twentys bar crawls. If you go to Ibiza make sure you seen the other side which the media don't portray ie: Ibiza Town, Pacha, El Divino, Space, Bora Bora, Forementera, Base Bar I could go on for ever!!
Catch Ibiza as it happens on rapture Channel 205 on Sky, a bit old but will give you an idea about the better side to the island!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I;ve been watching that Reps in Ibiza. Its so shockingly bad but one of them programmes I just have to watch. Every week its "This week 6 lads from brighton go on a pulling competition" then the narrator continues to explain their scoring system.
