can cosmi

Hi we usually sit there, its our favourite place in santa eulalia, are people still crossing the road there even though the crossing has been moved down the road?
thanks for the photo
kind regards Stu y Rosie

I will be in Es Cana on Monday for a week. We always go around to Sana Eulalia and Cosmi is one of our favorites places to have Tapas washed down with a glass or two of vino. I can`t wait now after seeing the pictres of it.

Another favorite place is Marinias, we always call for a drink.

btw, during the last three months i have been eating in casa piedra, muay thai (twice), kathmandu (twice), the gallery (twice), rickyssimo, casa thai, rias chiringuito, destino, brisa de la mar, el carmen, jackpot and all cafe bistro.....

Anywhere in Es Cana would be fine for me (though I will be there in July for 2 weeks anyway).

I have walked all the way to Santa Eulalia, but it was years ago, we walked all the way along the coast - through gardens etc and it was a bit scary in places (can it still be done?).

I first went to Es Cana with my parents in about 81 and 30 years later, Im still going but with my wife and kids. Theres so many memories of the place, I just couldnt pick one thing out. (maybe the darts competitions up in Tonys bar when Hilary and Malcolm were there).

I could go on, and on

I would go straight to the curry club in San An and order a chicken tikka madras and a ice cold san miquel. Then id walk down to mambos and watch the sunset!!!

yep. they should do a wooden boardwalk though.....

I'd take a stroll down to the beach(any) with a carrier bag full of chilled beers and a pack of fags and relax in the sun 8)

I'd be sitting in Tulp bar near Arenal beach having a nice cold pint of magners :p

Obviously it'd be closed now though!!

Definitely sit on a nice quiet beach, watch the day and people go by. Love just sitting there and realise the sun has travelled a fair distance in the sky. Then back to the villa to get myself in the mood with a few euro bottles of san miguel, listening to some chilled house. Enjoy some local cuisine, in the Northern part of the island, and then hope a decent club is open (let's pretend it's May)

The last time i visited Es Cana was in September 2011 ofwhich i also walked the Coastal Path from Cala Martina - St Eularia but could not do the whole route given that after S'argamassa and a bit further along, the path had eroded into the sea. Also the once very luxurious villas that were a part of the route looked like they had been abandoned which wasn't surprising given the path edge was practically at the Villa's garden fencing. During my stay in Es Cana 1981 i often walked to St Eularia via this path & believe me the walk was not only relaxing but also very stunning. On arrival in St Eularia i'd continue the walk via the road past the Roca Lisa golf course and Jesus until arriving in the Old Ibiza without it's modern Port & Marina like today:( The whole walk would (back then) take around 4-5hrs but never once to myself did i complain:) In Es Cana 81, do you have any recollections of Granny's bar when the Leicester couple Mick & Sue were running it? Also i use to get pi**ed at Spud's Pub and the Red Lion aswell as Charlies disco where the DJ was called Chris & i got fired after just four days for enjoying inhouse private parties during the afternoons after inviting young people (mainly girls:D) i'd meet on the beach back inside for some afternoon light entertainment whilst supposedly doing cleaning up & the daily stock taking duties. Oh such wonderful days that'll never be forgotton though i'm too old for repeating such great antics now LoL.
I should also point out that during that period my base was in the Camping Florida campsite which i think has since changed it's name?

Cheers

I did the SE to EC seaside walk last october and it was fine,a couple of places you needed to take care; squeeze behind a tree or go lower or higher to feel safe etc, mainly though it's still ok.

I like McRackin's earlier thoughts about a wooden boardwalk,it would be good for tourism, but would the lack of commercial outlets along the route make this a non starter (think I know the answer)

Wouldn't have to be as elaborate as the San An one though. Just a designated path with a boardwalk at the more hairy bits (I don't know the walk so dunno how hairy said bits are).

Would cut down on taxis, cars on road, encourage people to walk about more. Sounds like a win win to me.

The second photo looks like the stretch of path which has a Villa i mentioned in a earlier comment which i thought looked abandoned? If not then it soon will be as i remember this part of the walk 30 odd yrs ago being some 3 meters wide and today looks like it's eroding away very quickly. Possibly caused by Global Warming?

Thanks for sharing the photo's:D
