If it's a Pret a Manger... keep it!

If it's Bob's local Deli... give it back!

I once found £350 hanging out of a Natwest bank machine and stupidly walked in and handed it in. Only afterwards I thought about it and wished I'd stuck it straight in my bag!

So after work this evening I shall be seen wandering around Liverpool Street casually checking all cashpoints

I think it's one of those "once in a lifetime" things that only stupid people don't take advantage of :x

Sandwich shop down the road gives you a tenner too much change.

(I've actually decided what to do but want to know what the general consensus was.)

Given it to me to 'test'.

Oh, hang on...

I know, it would have been like losing 1p to Natwest! the thing is we were going on holiday the week after... just think how that would have helped!

D'OH!

If it was a small independant shop, like one which is close to my work, owned by a very nice man, I give it back - no question asked. If it was a chain shop I take it and go back the next day hoping for it to happen again.

dont even remind me about that bec - cant believe you did not consult me first. Banks are insured and no one would have lost out in the.

When we moved house Tom bought a new TV from (*insert name of big electrical supplier*) and a home surround thingy. The place was near his work so he went and picked them up, then about a week later he got a call at work from the electrical shop saying 'Your home surround kit has come in, do you want to come and pick it up??' even tho he'd picked it up the week before.

So he thinks he may as well try and blag it so goes in, says he hasn't got his receipt cos he's come straight from work but they just ask to see some ID and he goes walking out with home cinema kit no 2

Which my mum has just sold for him on ebay for a nice profit

Can't believe you people!
