the hotel es vive is in the neighborhood of es vivé - part of the municipio of eivissa!!

its between playa d'en bossa and figueretas so its close to the action!!

my favourite restaurants near es vive: america (for local dishes), soleado (french) and
marco (italian) - all of them in the passeig de ses pitiüses!!

i wanted to post a picture of es vivé/the neighborhood instead of es vive/the hotel. it would
be too easy to find a picture of the hotel!!

Es Vivé or Es Viver in Catalan I Believe.

A local told me the name of the barrio is derived from the pools of fish that used to be here, I guess fishermen would store their catch in such pools, "live ones" so to speak.

Viver = fish pool, or nursery

I've also heard a rumour that the 80s-mulleted Max Levine, ex City of London trader and co-owner of the hotel, has returned to London after getting his fingers burnt on a clubbing project not so far from here...

the same happened last year with the guy who started pin-up (angel, an ex-manager of
privilege). he had to leave the island!!

could well be! Heard that Pin Up is doomed. New apartment building projects in the area meant it was never a long term thang anyway. Shame, I thought the situation beachside was brilliant.
