Hmmm....plane lands at 12.15. The longer the lads drink in the sun in San An, the less chance of going anywhere....

I went around 7:30, a bit too late IMO. I went on the June 20the date. I missed Maya Jane Coles but whatever.
Generally all the parties I went to in June were 'perfectly busy' but this one got really busy when I was there. I liked the small pool you can chill in, ppl leave their shoes on the side. I wonder if you can bring them in... I had sandals and didn't care if they got wet. No one seemed to be smoking at that pool either...
9 PM is when the action started on the main stage. And it was very crowded. Really hard to get a beer too. I think musically this was the worst event I went to. Wasn't feeling the tech house, no variety. I heard so much about Kolsch but didn't feel it all except for him dropping Maceo's Sordid Affair remix ( track is still going strong from it's official release since Dec!). But Ushauia is an incredible venue. I love the planes flying overhead! Sometimes they fly really low...there's a second floor area near the pool which was supposed to be VIP? but I got up there anyway and there was more room to move and u feel closer to the planes. But I liked La Familia more musically and it also wasn't as jam packed TBH.

The two times we went to Ants, once went earlier for the party up the back at the smaller pool, and the other time later for the action down the front. I would say the earlier party up the back was far better than later on once the bigger stage opened down the front. Better atmosphere overall up the back and it's not too crowded. Depends what you are after really, not really into the big stage etc myself, prefer a smaller intimate setting.
Totally agree. The back party is much better than the front. I went yesterday at around 7 and wish I came at 6 to catch the full MJC set. Andrea Olivia did a good job back there. I can't remember who was on the main stage, but the first DJ was ok....the closer just sucked. Filler tech house and I just left. They need to increase the GA dance floor space of they want to improve the front stage experience. That stupid pool is too big. They need to build a retractable dance floor or something over it.

Gorgon city and Los Suruba were the last two DJs. I thought it was busy last month even at the start, but I liked space to dance and chill in. The pool thing is cool and that area surrounding the DJ as well. It got even busier later on and tech house took over too arrgh and it got repetitive.
I'm not sure how I feel about the main pool in the middle. Is that pool even open for hotel guests earlier in the day?

Yes. But they start clearing the sunbeds away about 2-3PM, so basically pointless! If you do stay at Ushuaia best to go to the poll at The Tower!

Wrist bands? This is the multi-million pound EDM-Ushuaia machine! They don't need to do "free"....... They pack this place out every night!
