What things in Ibiza that are not there anymore you miss?

I miss everything!

- the old Manumission Motel
- the early Manumissions when things were a little less tame and a lot less commercial
- Space circa '99-2001
- some found them tacky, but... the evening parades through Ibiza town announcing the evening's parties. They were often surreal! Now, when they have one, you barely notice them.

second that

+ Playa Particular

Godskitchen at amnesia - -That was good. Much better than cream.

Yeah ditto, well the first year they were there, the second year they jumped on the hard house bandwagon at the time and got ppl like Fergie and Lisa Lashes there 8O Was a much better crowd tho than Cream plus room to dance.

Other club nights RIP

Perfecto on Tues @ Pacha
Renaissance on Weds @ Pacha
Ministry on Fri @ Pacha

Then they had tiesto when he still relatively new and when he was still very good and before he moved over to cream. Some of my best memories were at godskitchen. Mauro picotto also played a few times. Probably one of the best nights on the island at the time.

wickid night.

Never been to Gatecrasher but it had good reviews too. I suppose many people miss this party too.

Gatecrasher was one of the biggest failures ever on the island.

They did I think 4 one-off parties in 98 or 99 and then the following year attempted to do a full season @ Pacha with Roger Sanchez as resident. Now Roger Sanchez is a good DJ but completely nothing to do with the Gatecrasher sound at the time. It never took off and hardly anyone went, you got cybers in Pacha 8O and within a month they moved to Eden with Sanchez just playing a minor role alongside the Gatecrasher ressies.

If they'd thought it thru and gone to Amnesia and got a strong trance line-up it could really have worked, god knows what they were thinking of

Pin Up: this club had a fabulous atmosphere on its large outdoors terrace, especially on Monday evenings.
they are knocking it down at the moment to build another ugly block of apartments. the owner sold it some time ago (and also the gorilla park) but still owns the bio beach restaurant on the beach front. btw, the house in ruins next to what used to be the bull bar wont be knocked down for now as the very rich family who owns it (the verdera's) dont want to sell it.........

I find that really creepy - like a ghost town.

Such a shame, as Pin Up was a great wee club.

Def agree on GK @ Amnesia - Their closing party in 2000 was one of the best ngihts i've ever had in an Ibizan club.

That 'house' reminds me of the video for the Bee Gee's 'Staying Alive'. I have no idea why.

McRackin - you must have a picture of it? ;)
