What things in Ibiza that are not there anymore you miss?

I start:

Pin Up: this club had a fabulous atmosphere on its large outdoors terrace, especially on Monday evenings.

Ditto to Pin-Up, such a shame that place shut down, had so much potential.

Ancient People

I used to like the Star Bar and Milk Bar for some proper toerag aftershow antics 8O  but not sure what happened to them. And Unity bar was always good to meet fellow reprobates at 9am in the morning

Scuzzy toilets at a free DC-10 (when it was a sketchy carry on). :P

La Troya when it was better (not sure it's lost it that much though).

The old formula of a fluffy terrace and dark/twisted interior at Space.

24 hour Bora Bora inside and out with no horrid dividing fence.

'Renaissance live' at Privilege.

The positivity, hype and media frenzy that surrounded the island in '99/2000.

The Amnesia terrace stripped down to basics with no tacky vip areas and stoopid jungle animals.

Fewer promotors on the island and record labels co-hosting nights at MoS/Moneypennys etc rather than dominating the scene (ie Subliminal/Defected etc) - grrrr - not sure why that annoys me but it does.

KM5 when it was a club. 8O - sooo idyllic!

Can't think of any more but ta for that - it was a great time waster! :D

When DC10 used to have the seating area inside and you could roll round on big comfy cushions and play table football  Now it's a bloody VIP area

Oh Christ - I don't remember anything as luxurious as all that! All I can recall was traipsing through other people's pi$$ and bumping into really scary looking people in the dark. 8O

It was soooo frightening and horrid! (But secretly quite nice ;) )

I loved DC10 in those days when it was horrd

The seating area was in the room off the inside, believe me it wasn't luxurious (imagine a few old tatty cushions with bodies laid all over them  ), it was a great place to be on a Monday morning with fellow reprobates of society :D

I liked it better blue as well! :D

((Where are we at with Stuie's review?   ))

Yes, back to the important matter in hand - Stuie's B______ review  We don't seem to be getting very far with it do we, we just keep talking about it and threatening him with it but that's as far as we get :?

I miss everything!

- the old Manumission Motel
- the early Manumissions when things were a little less tame and a lot less commercial
- Space circa '99-2001
- some found them tacky, but... the evening parades through Ibiza town announcing the evening's parties. They were often surreal! Now, when they have one, you barely notice them.

I never got to see Ibiza before this year - I was aware of all that I missed before I even read this thread!

I really would have loved to have seen Manumission at it's height. How come they don't let anyone in the pool anymore? They had garbage floating in it the night I went.

My buddy Scott. Wasn't the same without him this year. He's got kids now :?

This year I saw a little girl of about four pass through Bora Bora while she was in her mum's arms. The place was jumping at the time. We started egging her on to dance but she kind of looked at us like, "Wha?" That was the mum, mind you. The child was all for it, kickin' and screamin' to get mum to put her on the tables to throw down with the big girls during "Freek U". She even grabbed a bunch of straws from someone's pitcher and started waving them all about while the planes passed over.

So you see, Ibiza is good for the junior clubbers as well. Sad Scott and the youngins had to miss out.

They were only born in May... a little early to be throwing shapes
