probably opening myself up to a lot of ridicule here...but here goes.....

last night we were watching "most haunted" on tv and it was a pretty jumpy episode, lot's of activity etc, so much so that afterwards I made nicky wait downstairs with me whilst I locked up as i was getting goosebumps  , we also live in a house thats over 100yrs old and funny things happen occassionally.
Anyway, when I was a kid I remember watching this programme on telly, it was a series called "Beasts" which was basically 6 short scary stories, a bit like "tales of the unexpected" and one particular episode scared the crap out of me and I still have nightmares about it now, in fact i looked it up recently on the net and found like a summary of each episiode and when I read the summary for this particular epidsode, it all came back and all the hairs on my body stood upright again. 8O

Anyway, i digress, but does anyone else have anything that scared them as kids....which still does??

I do remember the episodes with the the "zygons" when they got the loch ness monster to attack london, and being terrified of the monster, literally hid behind the sofa...have since seen it and its basically a rubber snake with teeth

Oh my god i reemmber beasts - I used to have to leave the hall light on downstairs if I wanted to go to the loo - a particular episode about a dried up baby hidden in the walls of an old house was one that comes to mind!!!

I actually watched the remake of Amityville Horror the other night and made Phil talk to me from the living room whilst I went up to the loo cos I was so jumpy!!!

Can you remember the one with Pauline Quirk in working as a checkout girl in some supermarket where she fancied her manager ?? oooh that one was a bit 8O too.....

Oh god EVERYTHING scares me! I just can't watch horror films because I end up seriously disturbed for weeks afterwards and lose sleep each night! Poor Jon keeps on wanting to go to the cinema to watch various horror flicks with his mates and their girlfriends but I refuse point blank to go

I'm scared of basically all horror films, but the film that blighted my childhood the most was Steven King's IT, about that clown. Good Lord, I've never been so scared in my life! 8O I watched it again when I was 18 and still had to sleep with my light on. Even now I get flashback and can't sleep

Other than horror films I have always been scared of:

Lorries
Dogs (normally once I am around them for a while I relax a bit though)
Daddy Long Legs
The Dark
Heights
People walking near to an edge where they might drop off!

They all float down here!

Spiders.

(and this'll make you chuckle...)

Horny women.

They REALLY frighten me! I love female company, am not ashamed to embrace my inner girl. ...and I'll be the first to appreciate the female physique (I can frequently be found open mouthed gawping at the Pacha podium dancers/tg mistresses etc!!!)...I must've snogged and groped most of my female friends too - but a lady with the horn letting off that scary estrogen smell and licking her lips...it just gives me nightmares!
