Done it! It's lovely!
...Top tip for you (& one well worth taking note of), go early March (ish) and get tickets for Azure; Sydney's harbourside party (part of Mardi Gras and better than the event itself - sells out in seconds). It's outdoors and on the botannical gardens boasting the best views of opera house and harbour bridge, '000s of people, a gorgeous sunset and party production like you've never seen in your life.
I can honestly say it's one of the most impressive parties I've EVER been to. 8O :D
That sounds mad. Any good big clubs in Sydney or Melbourne that u wud recommend?

Nothing worth talking about on this board!
Sydney isn't like London or Ibiza, they're more into one off events than clubs so it's worth going during a holiday season like Mardi Gras.
They're also slightly more conservative than us so the crowds can be quite uninspiring...having said that, I quite liked the Electro nights at Moulin Rouge in Kings Cross and Home (Darling harbour) is a nice venue if you go to one of their monthly Sunday shindigs (Fr/Sat is terrible but the upstairs terrace is always lovely).

Melbourne isn't a clubbing place at all, it's very insular and more of an 'in crowd' sort of place where people go to house parties etc - therefore not very accessible to tourists. If you do want to go out there, head for Revolver.

The only thing I'd say I missed is when my "normal" friends have gone on holiday. I've only ever gone on one girly holiday to Magaluf when I was 17, all the rest of my holidays have been to Ibiza
I do feel a bit sad when my friends come home with their stories of Malia/Kavos/Zante etc, but to be honest, I'm not really into all of that drinking and chucking up scene anyway so I know I'm not missing out on that much

I used to do all those sort of holidays with my mates to said locations as well as Ibiza every year. Don't worry, you havent missed anything ;)

You spend all day feeling extremely rough and hungover, end up in crappy bars playing awful music, and stagger home not really remembering that you've had an 'ok' time ;)

Much more fun in Ibiza :P ;)
