What other things have you missed out on by going to Ibiza?

One year some friends had opened a new club and i missed out on the Soul providers playing and Julie McKnight doing a live PA of Finally because i was flying to Ibiza the same night :( I cant believe i didnt fly the day after and have regretted it ever since. :cry:
 
What's to miss out on in terms of clubbing??? :?

As far as missing out goes, Ibiza does eat up a lot of cash (& paid holiday) and five consecutive years does get in the way of possible trips to cultured places like Egypt, India, South America & Europe.
That's why I had to have a year off in 2004...and it really was worth it because I saw so many things I never imagined I'd see in a lifetime.

Ibiza is still my fave place ;) ...but I think there's more to life than getting wasted and reaching for lasers.

We didn't speak for few months (remember the car story) and by time we started talking again she had got engaged and booked wedding but we'd already booked Ibiza.

I've not heard the car story :? was probably when I was travelling. Someone fill me in. (I like to know the ins and outs of everybodys business!)

Nothing of interest, she did something out of order, we didn't speak for about 3 months but I missed her and thought it was stupid to lose a friendship over a car, so we made up over a few bottles of wine :lol:
 
Every year I seem to count down and wish away the summer so holiday arrives, then for the month before usually August I'm a hermit because I'm saving cash.

But it's worth it... oh yes :P

(7 months, 7 days :lol: )

The only thing I'd say I missed is when my "normal" friends have gone on holiday. I've only ever gone on one girly holiday to Magaluf when I was 17, all the rest of my holidays have been to Ibiza :lol:
I do feel a bit sad when my friends come home with their stories of Malia/Kavos/Zante etc, but to be honest, I'm not really into all of that drinking and chucking up scene anyway so I know I'm not missing out on that much :roll:

:lol: we're only going for a 4 day mini-break this year due to mortgage commitments :( but that's better than nothing! 10-14th Sept. don't remember our paths potentially crossing before tho. whats your dates? :P
 
Forget the Brits abroad tag, I think most people on here are more discerning than that...is no one on this forum into immersing themselves in other cultures - SE Asia for example???

No, I meant this year...haven't sorted dates yet but will be 2 weeks at end of Sept.
Not inviting anyone as I want it to be a selfish loner holiday! :D
...I think I've landed a posh three bedroom apartment in Ibiza town too so I'm sure loads of liggers will be in tow when the time comes!

I don't know what exactly do you mean but I'm not very kind on repeat holiday destinations. I prefer going to Ibiza or Formetnera for long weekends and visiting other places. Last summer I really enjoyed my holidays in the south and this year we are thinking in two weeks in Marruecos.

Three bedrooms is a lot for one person but I spose you could keep different guys in each room for you to take your pick :lol: Theres 6 including me this year, staying on San An side in hotel but in 4 days I think i'll probably have a couple of disco naps and 4 showers so accomodation not really important!

Best part is £145 for flight and accomodation :P
 
By goin to Ibiza this summer i'm delaying my dream for another year. that is to climb Sydney Harbour in Australia. I've always wanted to go to Australia and hopefully i'll finally get in 2006and do this climbing thing on the Sydney Harbour. But first i've a small matter of 2 weeks partying in ibiza :D

Done it! It's lovely!
...Top tip for you (& one well worth taking note of), go early March (ish) and get tickets for Azure; Sydney's harbourside party (part of Mardi Gras and better than the event itself - sells out in seconds). It's outdoors and on the botannical gardens boasting the best views of opera house and harbour bridge, '000s of people, a gorgeous sunset and party production like you've never seen in your life.
I can honestly say it's one of the most impressive parties I've EVER been to. 8O :D
