currently im on orange payg and am thinking about getting a contract but i dont know if i should stick with orange or go elsewhere. I phone orange customer services who told me that i have sent 600 texts in the last month and made virtually no calls but i really dont believe i would have sent that number of messages in 4 months never mind in 1. think there just trying to get me onto a more expensive contract.

T Mobile put me onto something last time I upgraded (think it might be called Flex or something 
) and my bills have gone down from about £80-£90 a month to £40-£50 - I don't really know much about it but it worked for me, maybe see what it says online - sorry I'm not much help am I

just upgraded mine, 35 quid a month with 02, 500 texts & 2600 minutes. K800i + a free ipod shuffle. Rather happy with that!
are they any network minutes? sounds like a good deal. think thats the phone im after or else a nokia n73

i just got nokia n95.... 5mp camera, mp3 player, satnav, internet, email, prob makes tea as well

On O2 pay as u go, put a tenner a month on and struggle to spend that, 300 free texts.
Plus they are always giving me 105 back all the time, free weekend calls, beats £100 fone bills!

yes, any network - its 600 minutes from tue-thurs, then another 2000 from fri to mon. I complained a few years ago about customer service so they put me on something called '02 select' & since then its been really good. phone answered in 5 seconds every time.
i sound like a marketing mole but im not honest!8)

I switched from contract on orange to payg as I was kicking the ass out of it and going over on my contracted amount. I now top up a set amount then buy extras each month. You can buy the bolt on's of say 400 texts for 12 pounds which takes the price down loads. They also give you so much compared to how much you top up which is quite good.
