I am looking for an hotel, what location is the best?
Thanks

Do you want to be right in the centre eg. the West End or will that be a bit too touristy for you and you'd prefer to be a little bit further out??

What's the purpose of your trip Mikkak cos that will give me idea - is it shopping, cultural stuff, visiting friends, clubbing etc etc??

Is a mixture, we are going to visit my english family in Peterborough and then I am going back to London friday nigth, we want to go to dinner and then go out but not hard clubbing because is just me and my sister. Saturday we want to do something like walking around because we just have a day left and is not practical visiting a palace or a particular museum ( I have done that before), we have also saturday nigth in London. so I don't really know where to stay, a point is that I am going back to Mallorca from luton.

If you're flying back from Luton you'll need to catch Thameslink from Kings Cross, it takes about 35 mins. You wouldn't want to stay in Kings Cross tho as it's not a particularly nice area.

You're probably best off staying in or around the West End cos then you'll have lots of shops, restaurants, bars right where you're staying and you won't be needing to catch a lot of tubes/taxis.

Here's a link to a long list of West End hotels at various prices http://www.hoteldirect.co.uk/london/

Hi, thanks to you all. About my budget I much prefer spend money in what I do over there- restaurants, shopping, drinks, etc- then the hotel. What about near Victoria Station, I had found some interesting deals.

There's not a lot around Victoria station, it's where Pacha is but there's nothing much in the way of bars/restaurants, however it's pretty close to the main action, only a couple of stops on the tube.

I see, I dont mind staying anywhere but I have to put together a few of points, I would like to be next to the action, I mean restaurants, etc, mostly because of the nigth, I much prefer moving around or doing longer ways during the day than during the nigth but I am worried about Luton airport because I have to be 6:30 sunday morning and I would like to make it as easiest as possible. I am a little bit messed up :D :D

If you want to be near the main action then I'd probably avoid Victoria, there really isn't much there at all, when we used to go to Pacha we'd sometimes have a drink before in the station bar cos the pubs/bars in the area were so bad

I would suggest somewhere more central then, maybe Covent Garden or round near Soho. Everywhere is so busy and bustling there, you'd never be short of something to do and you wouldn't have to worry about it being hard to get home.

I will take note of all your tips and start to search for a hotel in Coven Garden, Soho and West end, taking into consideration wich of the three fits better in my way to Luton airport sunday morning.
Thanks very much :D

The tubes won't be running at that time on a Sunday morning so wherever you stay you'll have to get a taxi to Kings Cross, it won't take long wherever you're staying at that time.

They don't start running til 7am so you can just jump into a black cab, much easier ;)

Ask away Mikkak, I know when we were going to Barcelona last NYE all Sil's help made our trip even better, I've already got her planning my next one for my 30th in January (between you and me I'm not very good at embracing this manana lifestyle  ) ;)
