What is Figuretas like?

Hi All,

We normally stay in Talemanca and love it as it's chilled out and there are no english lager drinking idiots. (We're english!) We love clubbing every night but when we get back in the morning we like it to be calm, and in the day we like it to be nice & chilled out without loads of places selling egg & chips if you know what I mean.

This year we are skint and have found a cheap place in Figuretas with a view of the sea and the question is, is it nice there - ideally we'd like a place with as little nightlife and english people as possible!

Thanks.

going from talamanca to figueretas is like
going from heaven to hell

for me figueretas is one of the ugliest areas @ ibiza.
beach and water quality (not always, but very often) is crap,
parkingsituation is terrible, many ugly (hotel)buildings, african prostitutes in some streets at night 8O  and everything is very poky :spank:

Hi ice,

Please be more sensitive with your phrasing. Yes the women of which you speak are quite possibly ugly and black, but the phrase "ugly black bitches" has negative racial connotations and isn't acceptable in a public forum.

:!::!:

Is it really that bad?

Is Figuritas really that bad - really can't be doing with staying somewhere horrible for my holiday & need somewhere chilled to come back to after going out.

I think what is being talked about here are the large amounts of Africans to be found in Figuretas in recent years. This seems to be the area that the beach touts and their families stay at night, don't know for sure if they are illegals but I will say that the African beach peddlars are becoming as annoying as the Holiday Timeshare touts on the beaches in the Canaries.
Last September we witnessed an African lad getting bundled into the sea along with all his cheap counterfeit CD's and Sunglasses....by a group of Spanish lads at Bora Bora one sunday afternoon.
Sometimes at PDB last summer you couldn't relax on the beach as the Africans are continually pestering you to purchase crap from them.

Could be what the reference to black faces in Figuretas is all about.

This is all being completely exagerated.

We usually stay in Playa den Bossa and spend a lot of time on the beach and haven't been pestered by African sales people at all. Figueretas is a 10 minute walk down the beach from where we usually stay so I doubt the situation is much worse there.

Lots of regular Spotlighters stay in Figuretas and I haven't heard complaints. The are is convenient to both Ibiza Town and Playa den Bossa. It has several decent hotels, and there are quite a few restaurants and bars around.

I like Figuretes - I've stayed there numerous times, never had any problem with 'ugly black bitches' and have always felt really safe there. The beach isn't brilliant but if you just want somewhere to catch a bit of sun there are worse beaches, there are also a few nice little cafe/bars/restaurants.

Plus the fact that you are walking distance to PDB and Ibiza Town is a bonus.

figueretas is fine. respect the locals as you get more residents there than in PDB.

really close to ibiza town, walking distance. can walk to PDB too.

perfect. playa sol all the way!

ugly black bitches

Haha, don't mince your words love!8O

Finger-ettas is cool. I've stayed there loads of times. I think of it as the ultimate "average" Ibiza resort. There's a bit of everything, apart from a good nightclub, which may or may not suit you. Though it's very close to the two 'best' areas (IT and PDB) which I suppose is it's main selling point.

The only thing wrong about it, aside from the aforementioned UBB's ( ), is Es Vive (IMO).

I'm staying there this year :? I'm tempted to switch hotels now!!!

Jessy it's absolutely fine - no beerboys, quite mixed nationality-wise, quite of gays but that's not a problem  Plus you'll save loads on taxis cos you can walk to PDB and Ibiza Town.

True - just had me worried there for a while! I suppose everyone is entitled to an opinion
