What I Would Really Love ..

this wont happen .. but I would love people from all "genres" of music to show me just what their music means to them! Too short a time really isnt it?

Music became really important to me in 1975 ... when the Youth Club at school started playing old motown etc .. .and the older kids started going to Wigan Casino ...

I suppose .. as a teen, the melancholy lyrics of a lot of Soul classics appealed to me .. but of course, i then hit TEEN and rebelled a bit .. so the underground and drug scene appealed ..

I'd LOVE to know what your music means to you .. and LOVE to share a night when you play your favourite music to me!

Oh Saffy, Saffy, I could write a book in reply to that one. As a DJ since 1976, musician, songwriter, etc., my whole life surrounds and is surrounded by music. I have to say that as the years inevitably roll on I find that my taste in music has become much broader. I've always leaned towards the soulful/funky/dance side of music, but, I enjoy the cheezy pop stuff too. Can't stand the pompous attitude that some display about their 'genre' of music whatever it is. It's all good fun as far as I'm concerned.

Off to Ibiza on Monday, if I get a DJ job and stay the season, I could do that. Except, I may not be playing my favourite music (well I always play some), especially if I end up in the West End of San An. Tut, tut, oh dear!

Did u know that its effects are so powerful a roman emperor once tried to ban it? -(dunno if thats true, think i read somewhere!- wouldnt surprise me if it was true tho)

Awww saffy that would be so cool! Its so amazing what music does for me. It has this unique ability to take me away to this happy place, where all my worries and hurt disappear. If i'm down, it brings me up. If i'm tired, it fills me with energy. And best of all it makes me want to dance with a grin from ear to ear! Music is magic.. I could go on and on lol!
