What hours do you work??

Usually 8.30 -5.30pm - I had flexi-time at my last work which was great! Wish I had that again!

Threw away some important information yesterday - oops! Nasty boss is NOT happy! ;)

I cannot believe that this terrible man is persecuting you again. Next he'll be claiming that your unplanned absence under false pretences to attend a job interview isn't really what they pay you for!

String him up I say!

Normal hours are 9 - 5.30 with hour lunch but as Bec said with her company, people here are pretty flexible, there might be odd night when you work later but if you need to leave early/take long lunch they're fine. As long as you do your job they're happy.

I started a new job on Monday in Cardiff (I live in Bristol) and have to be on site at 7.45am meaning I leave the house at 6.30.

Finish at 5.30, home for 7. Now, I don't begrudge working hard but I told my boss yesterday lunchtime that I was popping out for a sandwich and she said 'oh, don't worry we've got BREAD and PAT'E in the fridge'. It only being my second day I didn't want to rock the boat so I ate the dry, rancid snack.

I'm thinking the p1ss is being extracted somewhere along the line. What hours does everyone else work cuz this country seems to get worse with working time.

END OF CHAT :D

0900 - 17.30 with an hour for lunch, i dont leave my place until 8.45 though and take a nice walk in ;)

And despite your terrible performance, specifically on tasks that would enable him to do his job properly, he still fails to see you as the jewel in the company's crown you clearly are.

Have him taken to the stocks I say!

8.30 til 5.30, a late night would be working until 8pm, that'll only happen when I start project managing and stuff though, since I'm just a newbie I'm usually out early

We only get 45mins for lunch here, but people routinely take the piss, often off for an hour and a half... noone really cares though!

Aargh 8O ..........you don't wanna know.................

oh, alright then, just don't hate me..........

Friday night gig 7.30pm til midnight
Saturday night gig 7.30pm til midnight
Sunday night, if I gig, it's 10pm til 00.30am

Well, somebody's got to do it. From November 24th with new licensing laws Fri/Sat will be 10pm til 2am and maybe Sunday 10pm til 1.00am.

Rest of the week I lie around like a loppy dog  Well, ok, I work on my music a lot (and spend way too much time on here  ) and get out running regular.

My main hours are 7.30 - 5.30 m-f

and whatever else i need to do over and above.

But i love what i do so it doesn't seem that long. Mates who work flexi in civil service have a great gig,

Usual complaint: "I'm gonna lose my holidays as I'm too busy to take them all before the end of the year!"

Me: "That's terrible, you must be working too hard, how many do you have"

them: "366 days a year including my flexi"

me: " 8O ulp!"

got a really jammy hours actually. work in a school so its school hours and school holidays. half 8 to half 3 and a half hour to an hour break dependin on whether any of the kids need extra support. and its local so dont have to spend hardly anytime travellin. though i do get up with my boyfriend and leave the house when he does which means i get up about half 6. the hours are great but obviously im workin a couple hours less than most so that affects my pay quite a bit. have jus been asked to do some private tutoring after school which im happy to take as it more than makes up for the two hours less pay i get.

Does it pay you that well that you dont need a 9-5 job then? :?

Mon-Fri: From about 5:30-6AM till about 7PM

In addition, I would do a 4-hour stint once every 2-3 weeks during the weekend.

Drew, that's one of the main reasons why I cannot drink too much. By the time the weekend comes around I am so pooped that anything more than a couple of drinks will make me pass out.

Yup! Been self-employed deejay for over three years. Have done part-time work a couple of days a week in the past, but, not for a couple of months now. In November will be working nightclub hours with the equivalent hike in money.........and picking up extra nights too. Don't forget, I have to be a music slag and play lots of shyte as well as the good stuff, but, it's better than working 9-5 m-f IMHO. ;)

It doesn't pay that well, but, then again I have another income (quite legal  ) that helps............and being an ancient old git my mortgage is quite small, only about 8 years from being paid off. Aaaaahhhh, this is the life. :D ...'kin lazy bas.....

.............oh and currently no woman.

not enough apparently.

got a talking to for my flexi time being so dire. apparently beyond the limit of acceptable badness. so this week and next im doing loads of late hours to make up for it. and i want to cry. still got another 9 hours to make up by next friday.

That is very long hours Laguna!! 8O :?

Thanks for the consideration Fergie. I appreciate that. I am a Territory Manager for a manufacturer's rep. company in San Diego. We are only a 4 man team with the owner and I primarily doing direct sales. However, being a small company I end up doing a lot of Inside Sales work too. A lot of the stuff that is taken for granted while working at regular company goes out of the window when you have to do a lot of the little things yourself. It's a bitch and has totally f-ed up any private life I am supposed to have.

Okay, now I gotta get on the road.

So you've got to work for one hr a day?

Even 1 extra hour a day, as I presume you mean - will you really notice it?
