What do you do??

I use SAS? Its ok but i get really bored sometimes hence the amount of time i spend on here! Eventually i'm going to look for work in Leeds aswell as i'm planning on moving into Leeds in April. Not sure what i want to do though, i need a job with lots of people interaction!

I know what you mean. I'm looking for somewhere else, but to be honest I'd rather ditch programming altogether. It just happens to pay ok, which shackles you. :(

True, i worry that a programmer doesnt really have much to offer though unless you go into another programming job which i dont want to do :?

I don't so much worry about that, I'm pretty versatile, but I'd have to start on at least 10 grand less than I'm on now, which is a big drop in earnings. So I'll just keep plugging away at other companies. In fact, that's just given me an idea for a new thread...

Hmmmm. This thread is irresistible. Glad I got in at the beginning. There are some fascinating occupations here - no wonder you all spend so much time wittering on the internet!

Please don't encourage me. Self-restraint is not one of my better qualities.

ps Do I need any specific qualifications to get a job in computer programming, it's been one of my life's ambitions.

No, he's amusing me! That's three posts I've read from him already today!

Biff, I also regularly work 50-hour weeks, it takes me an hour to travel 6 miles, I'm often in on weekends, and my social life revolves around the pub nearest to work where I go to drown out the voices in my head. Oh, and it's raining. A lot.

Bet you're really jealous now Biff. I can see you fittig in perfectly.

That's just the lifestyle I crave for here on fantasy island. Sometimes a man can get tired of the celebrity merry-go-round. People to see places to go etc. I yearn to be one of the little people ( and I don't mean the Hobbits)
