Hi everyone,

I´m looking to get some feedback from people please - i´d really like to find out what you are all looking forward to the most this summer in Ibiza.

This is open to both Ibiza virgins and Ibiza veterans alike. Let me know what clubs you´re planning to hit and why !

This is part of an article i´m writing for ibiza-spotlight so any pics you may have will be great to include. I´ll be choosing some of the best comments, which will include pics 8)

Cheers,

Dan

This will be my sixth trip to the island....my first two years, I came with my best friend, my third with another buddy (who I met in Ibiza) and the last two with my girlfriend (LT). This year I will be coming back with my best friend in September (he has not been there for 4 years...I am going to Rimini with LT in July)

I am looking fwd to that same feeling that I get every time that I land there after 10 hours of travelling......running into the same people that I see every year, only once a year, and rehashing some old stories (Mario at Tantra, Pepe at Moorea, etc...)

Although, I love the beauty of the island, and in the last two years I have really experienced all that it has to offer (first trip to Formenterra last year, many excellent dinners in Dalt Villa with LT, going to as many different beaches as possible)....this year I am excited about experiencing what first drew me to the island....the clubs.

The nights that I am really looking forward to this year are:

Obviously, We Love at Space.....(a little upset that I am missing Tom Novy, but this party is legendary for a reason)
Circo Loco at DC-10....every year, I feel like I get there a little too early, going to try to fix that this year
Release Yourself at Pacha.....the S-Man always puts on a show!!!
In Bed at Space....Miss Barbara Tucker from Brooklyn!!!
Subliminal at Pacha....Morillo takes it to another level in Ibiza (really looking fwd to the after party as well!!!)
Renaissance at Pacha.....if the rumor is true that Steve Lawler is there (I will never forget 2004 on the dance floor at Pacha, hearing Lawler tease 'The Bomb Dogs - I can't explain' thru what felt like 10 tracks, before dropping my favorite track of the moment!)

There are some pictures in the links in my signature

What I'm excited about this season in Ibiza

....telling everyone, yes we got married (X) days ago and we're on our honeymoon!

....two sessions at DC10

....dancing on the tables in Bora Bora like I don't have a care in the world (which at that time, I won't have!)

... anything and everything: Ibiza just delivers magic on every front, I don't think you even need to put any effort in, it just happens! Normally, whatever we end up doing, we always have the time of our lives.

This year I'm really looking forward to:

Mulletover secret location villa party 16th June: heard amazing reports from the ones last year, very excited about this!

Cocoon opening after party: never been to one before and again heard that they're absolutely brilliant

Kubicle secret location party 20th June: As a regular to Kubicle's toilet parties in the east end I'm excited to see what they'll pull out of the hat for ibiza 8)

And of course monza's move to privilege - desperately hoping the new sound system there lives up to expectations

Also various other places I want to check out this year: Sa Trinxa, KM5, Formentera all of which I've not been to yet.

The main thing I'm looking forward to in June is getting married in Ibiza and being out there with all our closest friends :D In a way the clubbing nights are of secondary importance this hols cos I know that the people we're with we have a amazing time whatever we do with them :D

September hols will obviously be a resume to 'normal' service

Aaaah. ;)

I'm looking forward to DJ Hell, a bora bora/circoloco sesh and a few lazy sangria fuelled sunsets at Sa Trinxa.

Beyond that I've no plans except to lie in a star shape on various beaches.

I am looking forward to going back to the place I fell in love with last year.

In a way I am more excited then last year because although it sounds weird, now I know what to expect, it means more exploring and going to places I didnt go to last year.

Bora Bora is top of the list for us. Never got there last year.

Third time In Ibiza this year but it will be the first time I'll be doing 2 weeks!

Most looking forward too at the mo:

The day I land - Def Mix @ Pacha with Frankie Knuckles and Jeff Mills
Space on Sunday (2 sessions)
Circo Loco (2 sessions) Never been to DC10, so really looking forward to these days/nights
Derrick Carter @ MN2 Sugars, El Divino. Was gonna do Cocoon but rumor has it they are charging 80 Euros on the door so that is now a no go!! and with Derrick Carter being only 20 Euros theirs no comparison really.
Superfreak opening @ DC10

Apart from that, we're just gonna see what happens. There's 15 of us going over so I'm sure whatever we do will be amazing.

July can't come quick enough! Happy daze!
:D

The wedding is, in fairness, the event of the, like, ever!, To even mention other nights or anything else just seems ridiculously non-eventful. 8)

(But... dragging some pals kicking and screaming to a Cocoon opening or closing, and proving to myself I've still got it marathon wise, along with a tearful re-uniting with Danny T come closing (assuming he's doing that?!) also fills me with unmeasureable excitement!:D :D :D)

Though it's also the little things: a day round Bora Bora, hearing a record I either have never heard out, or haven't heard in about 3 years being played, (or hearing Tomaz vs Filterheadz - Sunshine, or Groove Armada vs Dj Sneak I see You Hiding You r Bud, which physically melt me on the spot); a last-night-of-the-holiday which starts off with a quiet meal and plans for an early night, then sees you crawling out of Pacha at 8am throwing yourself infront of illegal cabs because you've got to go home and pack for the 10am flight; hearing This Years Anthem blaring from every sand soaked car driving past you as you're walking down the street; Spending double-figure-hours in Space and walking out wearing your pass-out with a sense of soldieristic(?)pride (because you haven't used it); I could be here all day...

On a similar note, isn't these few months just the BEST time of the year? It's like all the anticipation, excitement, and buzz of the up-and-coming summer is just, well, you just wish you could bottle it! Could easily just stare at my calender, and find myself just grinning like an idiot!:D

:D :D :D :D great post

FAR too excited to do any work for the next 4 weeks...

So true!!:D

I think jamie and me combined are stronger than you robert.

Then you've got the perfect companion to go and party in toilets with!

No one is telling me what to do this holiday - I'm going to sit by the pool with a glass of wine, some devilled eggs and a jar of rollmop herrings looking glamourous.

I'm not coming to any toilet or mulletover parties...select a palm tree on salinas and I'll be sat under it reading David Hasselhoff's autobiography.

My amusing club commentary too I hope.

And hasselhoffs book is one on the funniest things I have ever read.

I'll be seeing you out there this year, won't I?
