People actually getting down and dancing to the music...wish I was born 15 years earlier sometimes...not like half the posers you seem to get turning up at parties these days!

Think Sophie VIP will second that pretty much everyone was dancing their feet (and everything else) off in the Sunset Terrace @ Space closing party last year .. it's very much down to the particular party - always has been to be fair. London's got more than its fair share of posers and head-nodders :!:

Yes, John Digweed's residency @ Xoyo 1st Thursday of each month. Revival of Thursday residency from back in the day - used to be at Heaven, thankfully no longer. Last week was the first. Plenty of others crop up every month which are more music than fashion. 'True' Techno parties (as opposed to new 'meh-nimal' ones [thanks for the terminology, Minimarc !]) also usually a good bet for a stomping crowd.

If you want to see Jamie Jones & his merry men do their thang (certainly in UK), being ready to party with a poser possy definitely helps align expecations with likely outcomes. Well, my experiences suggest so anyhow :!:

Massive crossover success - was at No. 1 in the UK charts for ages that track. It was Danny Tenaglia & John Digweed who really got behind Rui on this and pushed it. Crossover hits from that genre were rare back then and I remember driving down the motorway with some friends when it got played on Radio 1, going WTF, and everyone singing ... !

When I think of Rui I always think of Underground Sound of Lisbon though - this still sends a dancefloor crazy ...
