What Are You Listening To Right Now??

You are right...........especially with dance music.

Good originals are very hard to beat or improve on.

Remixes can help bring an old classic to the attention of a younger agegroup that were not around when it was released first.

What makes a good track in my opinion is that it has a different edge or new edge that sets it apart from the other commercial or mundane sounds.

With Dance music I find that the classics are all associated with a period in time or the Zeitgeist of the people or the person listening to it. It can reflect youth, innocence, emotions, life etc...

This type of music should be left alone as re-inventing it rarely works. Its just a commercial policy to make a quick buck..

Thats ends my Sunday Sermon .......go in Peace......

Hahaha... good Sermon Mr. Bez!
I'm totally agree with you... so... maybe the way is improving the sounds, improving the structures... the music!! Better than trying again and again to reinvent that's invented...

Regards from your apprentice!! ;)

Your views interest me.....can I subscribe to your newsletter pls??

Its really disappointing that nobody is trying to experiment with improving or developing new sounds.

A lots go to do with the record labels....they just want to make cash not interested in investing in new talent.

I think you're right. yeah, I've got a couple of jisco bits - really liked the hot chocolate cadillac rework (although massively overplayed in the end!) + Mark E raygun although I rate him more far as a producer than a DJ (sets a bit flat imo  )
