Me and my 4 friends will be heading out for our first time. We'll be in Ibiza from 8/26 - 9/2...We're all from Los Angeles, Cali and want to know what people can tell us about:

1) Club prices - what's the average? what's up with these bulk party passes? Sounds shady to me...

2) How much money ($$$) would "guarantee" a above average time? Including food...

3) How far is San Antonio from Ibiza Town? Better to stay there or in Ibiza town?

4) Weather?Shorts for day - sleeves for night?

5) I hear the showers - all basic water is salt water? Even to shower is? That's dirty....I love it...

6) Any other tips/advice??

Thanks party peeps!

1) Club prices - what's the average? 50 Euro at the door 35 Euro for a pre-sale club ticket available at most of the major bars.

what's up with these bulk party passes? Sounds shady to me...

2) How much money ($$$) would "guarantee" a above average time? 100-200 Euro per day.

3) How far is San Antonio from Ibiza Town? Better to stay there or in Ibiza town? Better to stay in Ibiza Town or Playa d'en Bossa.

4) Weather?Shorts for day - sleeves for night? It's very hot in July and August so make sure you have your summer gear.

Any other tips/advice?? -- pack more cash and less clothes 8)

That's a good average.
And yeah, Pack more cash and less clothes.

last year we were sleeping naked and it was still tooooo hot. so we have climated rooms this year.

And money :?: You can´t take too much money with you... :D

Not all the showers are salt water...we stayed in a shitty hotel last year and they had treated unsalty water. Pot luck I guess whether you get salty or not!

I'm out there for the same dates as you Rico, catch you there! 8)

1) Club prices - most tickets are sold for Euro 35 in Ibiza town bars ans san Antoni. DON'T buy tickets at the door
2) How much money ($$$) would "guarantee" a above average time? Euro 100/ day without clubbing .add 50-60 euros for a night club

3) How far is San Antonio from Ibiza Town? Better to stay there or in Ibiza town? around 20 mns by car. Better stick to IBIZA TOWN

4) Weather?Shorts for day - sleeves for night? high temp. in July & August.

5) I hear the showers - all basic water is salt water? Even to shower is? No. not anymore. However, do not drink it.

From what I know: As Ibiza is a relatively small island, they have to make use of spring water, which is a little salty due to the proximity of the sea, and also they have water treatment plants which get fresh water. But due to the overcrowding in summer, they have to mix both waters to cover all the supply needs and then the result is a bit salty. You can wash yourself with it, but not drink it. It's not dirty, it's suitable for human conssumption except for drinking it.

I'm not sure if I'm right on this, but it's from information I've compiled here on this board.

The salt water is treated and it's actually good for the skin! Just don't drink it!

i stayed in 2 apartments last year (long term), and neither of the two had salt water showers, nor did i hear from any of my mates whether they had also. i think you should be pretty safe, but as someone said above, the salt is very good for the skin!

The water is always funny when you go abroad is it not? Anywhere I have been I have found the water quite salty/coarse. I think it is just because of all the minerals in it, but your skin soon adapts to it! :P

I wouldn't worry about it too much anyway! ;)

Thanks!

The five of us are pretty excited - we just wanna prepare - I'll let my friends know to save up hardcore....that hot, eh? Hmmm...well, in my group there are 4 guys 1 girl and none of us want to see each other naked so I guess that we'll seat to death....

wasup playa ... u will garantee a good time there trust me ;)

1. always buy ur tickets from ibiza town ... ask around in the bars if they have tickets .. and the prices varries from a bar to another ..

2. an average night including clubing, u would need around 100-150 Euro (for my self thats what i needed :? ) but if ur not hitting a club .. then no worries .. BOTTOM LINE, it depends on u .. and how much u eat/drink

3. not far .. about 10-15 min drive .. much much much better to stay at Playa De bossa ... near both Ibiz town and San Ant. .. and for u first timer i sugest Jet Appartments and make sure u ask for a room with an aircondition cause some apt. dont have one ;) its walking distance to Bora Bora & Space .. and then u could use the Party Bus to go around to clubs if u want ..

4. what ever u want .. its summer . u know how it is .. same as LA and San diego ;) .. but its warmer @ ibiza ..

5. lool yeah ... dont freak out when u all see white stuff on u after a shower loool

6. holaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa back .. how's the girl coming with u all ?? .. is she cute ;) ?!? .. tell her Moe says Hi :) .. and also, check this out http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=10603&highlight=

goooood luck to all yo'all ..
