well, it was a great holiday until...

Our hotel got broken into and robbed on the last night. had a great night out at space on our last night... came back to out apartment on the last night and found that our apartment had been robbed!!! :cry: :cry: :cry:

someone took all our cameras, ipods, money, clothes, bags, shoes, mobiles, gifts, clothes everything..

so no photos or anything of my trip this time..

they even took stupid things like towels , half a bikini, a couple of books and a 3 pound alaarm clock.


We think it was an inside job and someone had a key because there wsa no sigh of forced entry and it was all very fishy when we went and told the manager anbd he just sort of smiled and said 'these things happen sometimes'

so spending the last day of my holiday with the completely useless police wasn't exactly the best way to end a holiday.

so if anyone is going to bon sol squash watch out.. complelty useless nad lack of security and we KNOW that someone got in with a key.

be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

and see some of you at SW4 tomorrow :)... ha ha... iI'll be the one without my camera.

Sorry to hear. Happened to us 2 years ago in a rented house and it looked like an inside job too.

We were at bon sol squash..

There were other problems too.. there were three of us... and since i arried before th others, when I arrived, they gave me a room with only one bed.. I had specifically requested this and called them and said we need a room with three beds... so when I got there, and saw there was only one bed, I made them change rooms. Since squash is owned by the same people I said that we could not have a room with only one bed in it. I remember they made some joke at the time saying 'but maybe it would be fun for you and two boys in one bed. ha ha. whatever.

so they moved us over to squash which had the three beds.

the night before everything was stolen, we noticed that our cards weren't working for the room. so I went down to reception and said our cards weren't working. They didn't even ask for any prooof , just 'what room are you in?' and they gave me the new cards.

We had a fantastic night out at space... came home.. it was pissing down with rain and I found my friend outside our hotel and he said 'we;ve been robbed' I still had a really messy head so not really thinking straight..


but just the coincidence that our cards weren't working the night before, then we got robbed. we know someone was watching us and used the key to get in. just know it.

then when we talke to the manager, he didnt seem to give a toss at all!! just said..'yeah these things happen sometimes!

How awful,sorry to hear that,:cry: i cant believe the attitude of the manager,personally id have smacked him if that would've happened to me and he came out and said something like that, i hope you were insured, i need to get insurance myself before i go, i hope the Garbi Aparthotel is safe.

it was pretty busy.. I remember arriving at the clubs earlier to find them sooooo packed!!! until the last night it was great.

I'm actually more pissed now than I was yesterday and wednesday because my brain is sort of functioning now.

They even took our friend's prescription glasses!!! :spank: :spank:

nothing I can do though.. I guess in my 12 years of traveling this is the first time I've had any serious holiday mishaps!

yea.. you know what I ALWAYS get insurance.. except this year, I have a relatively new job that has travel insurance as part of their benefit plan.I it is supposed to cover travel insurance, so i just went with that.. problem is I think they focus more on medical insurance than theft.

Even if I do get something back, they will hardley cover the cost of what went missing.

Sorry to hear that.

Does sound suspicious because you would think a Hotel Manager would be concerned at such goings on in his hotel, being bad for business etc!
 
Thieving scum the lowest of the low:evil: thing is though they'll probably never be caught, certainly looks like an inside job alright,disastrous end to your holiday.

We are arriving this sunday and are staying at the Bonsol! 8O Hopefully everything will be ok as its a bit late to be trying to find another apartment!

Did you have a safe in the room? if you did was anything taken from that? we would normally keep all valuables such as passports/ money/ phones/ cameras/ ipods etc in the safe when we go out, would hate to think anything would be taken from that :?

How secure were the balcony doors and windows and what floor were you on?

We were almost on our own on the 4th floor, along with one other apartment up there.

stupidly. we didn't use the safe for those things... They didn't take our passports, thank god... but then they took things like jeans and shoes and glasses that we wouldn't have put in their anyway.

The only way someone would have got in there from a balcony would have been to jump across from another balcony, and there really wasn't another one.. (from the 4th floor! and you wouldn't think someone would take that risk especially if they didn't know there was something worth stealing in there anyway. And really, it would have been impossible for them to jump across from one balcony to another... there was nothing for them to hold onto!! so if it was an inside job, they would have been able to get in anyway.

like I said above, there didn't break into it.. and they had to know we had things in there. We think someone was watching us..

be careful and use your safe... I think it would be better for you especially if you are in the main apartment building.. we were not. As they messed up on our room on the first day and gave us this one as a last resort.. :spank:

Sorry to hear that... Lousy banditos! I am booked into the Squash apartments next week. So will have to be vigilent. Thanx for the "heads up"

Absolutly awful attitude from the management too!

thats dreadful

i always case out a room LagunaBeachCA style... apart from the safe, i check for other places to stash important things...

on a sidenote, do the Bossa Mar apts have safes in the rooms?
