Weekend Starts Early....

Sorry - I have to share....

I just asked my boss for Friday off (to go with the Monday I already have booked) and he said YES!!

In addition to saying Yes, he said - Why don't you head off now and enjoy a long weekend!!!!

Fandabidozee...:D

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I have Monday off and I worked the weekend so I'm due some time off and nothing scheduled in tomorrow... Hmmmmmm! It's tempting.

Do it.... It's very liberating don't you know.... I nearly fell off my chair...when the boss said yes...

I'd go home if I could turn of my spotlight addiction...:lol:

Well exactly. And I do have the time banked so it's legit. I'm going in for a meeting with HR, my manager, the director and the union in 15 minutes to argue the validity of my position and to attempt to save my job. I'm tempted to just say "Bugger it. Oh, and by the way, I'll be taking tomorrow off, thanks." :lol:

My meeting lasted 6 minutes. The thing is, my present contract is due to terminate at Xmas anyway, so the redundancy thing is a bit of a moot point for me. And there's a possibility the Royal Opera House may continue to use my Studio Theatre in which case, my work will continue, but until they make that decision, there's no point trying to argue my case.

I'm a pragmatic realist. Everyone else has been trying to save their jobs (understandably so!) where I've just gone in and said there's nothing to say until a decision's been made.

This is what all the fuss is about, if anyone cares to read it. :)

The day all the staff here were told we were going to be made redundant, there was an article in the papers about the V&A being given £9.75million from the Lottery.

It's all just silly now. TBH, I wouldn't mind if the answer for my job came down as a no thanks. Good time to leave and find something fresh.
 
Every time I've got bored and moved on, it's been the best thing I ever did and I kick myself for leaving it so long....it's easy to get comfortable....

And you're avoiding the Friday off question....I take it that means no:(

I can happily say, It's 12.05 and I've just crawled out of bed.... Lovely nice sleep in on a Friday..... Oooo...what shall i do next... Cup of tea and some tunes..... No rush though...I've the day off:D

I work flexi time, so at the moment I'm trying to decide how early I can get away with sneaking off. I've only been here 2 1/2 hours at the moment though, which I think might be pushing it :twisted: :lol:

Do what I sometimes do on a Friday - Take a 2 hour lunch while you try and decide what time you should leave...:lol:
