Weekend rundowns

Weekend in Berlin where as Buckley mentioned despite "The Latch" jokes over the past year or so was our first meeting. Also good to meet Dan X too looking sharp at 9am on a Sunday morning :D

Fri - went to my favourite bar from last trip Delicious Donughts. Then onto Weekend Club around 3am. Got ridiculously drunk but stayed till around 8am. Met loads of people going to Secretsundaze including Giles Smith's bird, who happens to be a hell of a lot more attractive than him . She was totally loco and A**. Put us on the glist for SS meaning we didnt have to brave the hour long que the following night

Sat - Started of the night at a place called Tachelles on Orienburgerstrasse.Highly recommended. Is a warehousy complex with loads of different levels. Very arty and good fun.

We Hit Panorama bar around 4am. Mate from Amsterdam had got the overnight train and met us around an hour later. We danced for about 16hours from about 4/5am on Sat morn to 8pm on Sun night without sitting down once it was that good. Has to be one of my best nights clubbing ever. Cant express how much I enjoyed the music as well how friendly all the people we met were (apart from Buckley starting fights ). Definately will go to Panorama Bar/Berghain again though I doubt anything will top this!:lol:

In all seriousness, did I ask you if you seen the guy who spanked a couple of people?

I dont remember you doing so. Cant imagine people starting fights in there. Everyone I met was so friendly but theres always a tool or two about! Takes the edge of i imagine!

He appeared to be a mate of Jerome Sydenham's, one of the DJs in the Secret Sundaze bit, as said DJ came and hauled him the second time and seemed the only person he would listen too....

On Saturday night I went to a little night called Transient at the Horse & Groom in Shoreditch. It was actually really, really good, the music was brilliant and the crowd were so up for it. It was nice to go to a smaller, more intimate venue too. Its on once a month, I'd definately recommend it!

Hoping one of these days their nights correspond with my London visits

Away in Athens for the weekend. Quite an adventure...

Friday - Attended the Fun Lovin' Criminals concert... 3rd time seeing them in the past 2 years. Still entertaining, but not as good as before. Followed that up by meeting some friends at Soho Rooms for a bit of dancing. Had a very short nap and...

Saturday - Caught a morning flight to Athens. We checked into the hotel and went for a walk around Plaka. Found a pub to watch the last 10 minutes of Liverpool's FA Cup embarassment followed by the master class given by Man U to Arsenal. Long dinner in a family-run traditional Greek restaurant complete with live music.

Sunday - Acropolis, Agora, etc. all closed due to first snow in Athens in 5 years :eek::eek: Did what other sightseeing could be done in blizzard conditions. Went to the Psiri neighborhood for another traditional Greek dinner w/ music and then some bar hopping (complete with stops at bars featuring people dancing on tables and throwing flowers at the band )

Monday - More sightseeing, met up with some friends in from London (some of whom had spent the night in Rhodes after getting diverted due to the blizzard!), dinner, drinks. Lots of drinks.

Tuesday - Finally got in to see the Acropolis. Walk around Piraeus. Seafood dinner. Olympiacos v Chelsea match.

As we were leaving today, the temperature returned to normal mild Athens winter levels

You were so unlucky young man:p
the temperature in Greece those days was the lowest for the past 100 years.it snowed everywhere even in the beaches...
btw why do you all seem to find amusing Greek people dancing on the tables and throwing flowers at the band???it's part of our culture:lol:
indeed now that you left the weather is just fine:p

I know! But in a strange way, it was great being there during this nearly-historic event - The 6-window split-screen news broadcasts with reporters on roads all around the country were especially entertaining  Half of Athens shut down on Monday and everyone had chains on their car tires. none of that famous Athens traffic! I took a series of photos of tangerines in snow (for those who haven't been, Athens is lined with tangerine and lemon trees). The only downside is we wanted to take one day and take a ferry out to an island, but we'll save that for next time.

Not necessarily amusing, just fun! ;) And not something you get to see in most places.

Sorry I didn't get in touch before we came, by the way... Spotlight was down the day before we left.

overall the temperature was low but Greek people enjoyed snow a lot:p
no problem about contacting me there's always next time;)
which island you intended to visit???
