Keeps me from real work for a few more minutes....

A weekend of tasty food.

Friday was my dads leaving do, so the Little Yang Sing in Manchester China Town. An old fave but superb.

Saturday, listened to the football on the radio with increasing horror (LFC fan). Then went to cloud23 (bar in the sky). Despite me ringing ahead to check, they would not let me in with trainers. Not just any trainers mind, millenium edition adidas micropacers in box fresh condition! Tw$ts!

Anyhow, went to Cask instead, then to Akbars for Curry. Superb place & really really good value.

Yesterday, back to folks for dinner & then engagment party in Liverpool.

Friday - bugger all

Sat - Injured my ribs at football and lost 4-2.

Sat eve - Mulletover.

Was very good although proved I'm not as young as I was. Deepgroove in the second room were wicked, even though they hadn't been advertised as playing. Only managed an hour at the afterparty and was useless all yesterday!

Sunday - nothing at all other than watching Wife Swap and Wedding Crashers last.

Friday - quiet night in sorting out my Ipod (loser)

Saturday - had a really nice lazy day at home, was only me and my dad in so was nice and quiet (our house is usually so LOUD) so he was pottering away in the kitchen cooking :lol: while I just lazed about.

Sweeney Todd in the evening, LOVED it, proper wacky! The other half wasnt so keen on all the singing, and there was quite a lot..........

Sunday - Went on a marathon walk with the other half and the other halfs dog, we must have walked about 6 miles in total, but we had a purpose, to get some fresh air and some holiday brochures
Sunday eve was a nice meal out with my friends and their other halfs, and everyone got on great so good end to the weekend

Gutted I missed this, I love this kind of trash tv!

Weekend was pretty much a tour of Hoxton

Fri - Couple of mates. Started off with Dinner at Cru, followed by drinks at Bluu, then Beach Blanket Babylon, followed by T-bar, ending up in Trailer Trash which was great as usual. Still managed to be tucked up in bed by 3am!

Sat - Started of at Electricity Showrooms, then ended up in the Old Blue Last. Not somewhere I would normally frequent but my friends flatmate was hosting the night. Really really good music! Friend is colombian and they know how to party! Ended up having a carry on at mine till about 7am.

Sun - Went home to see the folks and got told off for looking like trash!

Fri - few beers after work in Soho, then being sensible I headed home to save money :)

Saturday - Masters at Work @ Ministry. Had a good night here from what I can remember! Seemed to be up dancing all night even though I couldn't recognise any of the tunes that they were playing.
Ended up being kidnapped back to Ealing for a carry-on... left there a broken woman and had to endure a mammoth 2hr journey back home on a tube, train, bus and walking! STOOOPID CENTRAL LINE

Feel rubbish today and I've got a second job interview at 1pm.... arrgh not good  :spank:

Fri: Met up with a few friends for early drinks - home by 7.30pm with a chinese take away on the route home.

Sat: Pottered - picking up broken, gale damaged branches, patio furniture, plants etc from the night before. Cooked Lasagne's & Bolognese for the freezer

Sun: Gardening, papers and cooking

Nice quiet weekend - saving myself for next weekend's 4 day Barcelona trip - cannot wait!!!!

Friday night had a quiet night in with the boyfriend,

Saturday was working during the day and against my better judgement went to Inside out at the Arches, 1st time in 5 years (and will be the last time) went back to an afterparty for a couple of hours

Sunday Working again! spent the rest of the day in bed feeling kinda rough!

i hate working weekends!

Friday, nothing, was absolutely great!!
Saturday, was in S Ken with A client in the morning! Chilled! In the evening, hooked up with my mate Ju, went to Queen B's drinks, then onto Ministry for MAW!! Cracking night, busy, but not absolutely rammed, good music, not cutting edge, but those boys know how to use that Sound System! Was interesting watchin them play, Louis plays CD's, Kenny a lap top!
Many old faces, even met Spoony!
Good to meet Becki, Ferd & Erin!
Sunday, lazy day, watch the footy, my team failing to take their oppertunities, and gifting goals through defensive mistakes!!

Masters at Work - Oh my lord they were amazing. 8)

Really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really enjoyed myself.

What wasn't cutting edge about it?

When's the last time you heard a house set as good as that?

Fri - Took afternoon off, golf, gym and relaxation in the evening.

Sat - Golf in the morning, early evening meal at home then went to cinema to see Sweeney Todd, thought it was good, when I heard that alot of the script was sung I was unsure but didn't find it over bearing and Tim Burton really knows his stuff!

Sun - Worked in the morning, afternoon went to see football at a friends and then had food afterwards, chilled in the evening and nice early night.

Dot get me wrong, i enjoyed it, very beat orintated & warm, jus a little predictable! Their last set there totally blew me away!!

Well, SOS, Mark Knight at the Birthday, DJ Vibe, to name a few!!

MAW in my opinion were good in bits, but then slightly bored me in others.

I will admit I'm not into soulful house so it was never going to be my sort of music.

I do remember I really liked it around the time they played "Reach - LIL MO YING YANG" (forgot how good that tune is!) but then it got very tribally and a bit samey.

Still i'm pleased I went, good to see everyone and to meet Phil 8)

I really enjoyed this, proper wacky and not like anything else around at the moment

Friday a few beers with some of the chaps after work round Shoreditch ended up in Browns and The Axe to see the Jack The Rippers!. Missus rung me and summounds me home! Stopped off in mate's bar en route much to her annoyance even further. However did bring back some refreshments and a goodie bag and sat up with some friends till knew something was wrong as C-Beebies was starting!
Saturday picked up my little boy and took him and my daughter swimming even though I must admit after an hours kip my feeble frame did not really feel up for splish splashing about. Then chilled most of day on sofa reading holiday brochures and wimpering away as the kids smashed up the flat. I offered no resistance! Saturday night just ordered take away.
Sunday, offered more resistance to the kids after a bit of shut eye and took them to the park and they both conked out on their return home! Last night got my orders from the gestapo to start tidying as it is our little girls 1st birthday next Sunday and so seem to have bout 50 (only 6 kids!?!)people coming and so there is a proper knees up planned!

Fri - chilled night at home

Sat - had a lovely day getting facial, out to lunch with Tom, then at the hairdressers, had a little gathering at ours, then headed out to meet everyone at Elephant & Castle for pre-drinks. After a nightmare getting in to Ministry (one hour 40 minutes on guestlist  ) I was  However as soon as we got in it was :D:D:D MAW were just superb, couldn't sit down all night, it was one of those nights which reinforced my faith in London clubbing. Left relucatantly at 7am when there was no 'no mores', headed back to Ealing kidnapping a few people in the process and destroyed ourselves all day :lol:

Fantastic weekend :D

Saturday - Ministry was a good night, maw were brilliant. Had a good time despite the hour to get in and the hour to get our jackets at the end!

Fri: Invited some friends over for a Burns supper. Everyone brought a course or a component of one - I ended up spending a small fortune on an abundance of shellfish and it was beautiful - oysters, scallops, mussels and langoustine. Didn't make it past the main course of haggis (what else?), roast potatoes and turnips in a lovely blue cheese and wholegrain mustard sauce.

Then retired to the lounge when it all got a bit crazy. Several bottles of prosecco, champagne and pinot grigio later, we were joined by some more people who'd been out elsewhere or clubbing so it got even madder, culminating in heading over to a mate's around 10am and staying there until noon on Sunday!

Honestly, I thought you were supposed to be more restrained as you got older. I certainly couldn't have managed that sort of marathon even a couple of years ago without any shut-eye. All good fun though, despite the flashbacks.

Rest of Sunday was spent watching something allegedly masquerading as a football match as City got knocked out of FA Cup by those balloons, as well as a gutless performance. Finished off the rest of the Burns supper - cranachan and cheese, and went to bed early to make up for the hours lost.

I love weekends!
