Weekend Rundowns???

greetings from the noob :D

fri - quiet drink in the house

sat - early departure down to newcastle with 8 mates. 1st time i had been there, was seriously impressed with the talent. went to digital to see danny howells, not really my cup of tea but a really good wee club.

sun - still in the travel lodge as the nominated driver was tuned to the moon :?

mon - finally left the travel lodge

not bad all in all, overspent by miles, defo left some of my brain there as well.

So you liked out little Digital did you???:lol: Its a good club - but my complaint is shift that back wall between the dance floor and the bar - give the punters more space to throw some shapes.....8)

 aye, its not too shabby.

thought the soundsystem was excellent. the wee bit to the side of the dj booth at the top of the stairs was decent for a brief chill out. i wasn't too bothered by the dividing bit, but i was told there is often a curtain drawn so you canny see through, which wouldn't have been too good.

didn't realise it was as big until it was too late, and i was in a healthy state and easily confused by the upstairs bit

i'd go back but maybe to something like vitalic next week 8)

I will be there for Nick Warren on 20th so looking forward to that except it will be rammed beyond belief - Sandy Rivera downstairs and Nick Warren on upstairs...... eeeeek!!!!

Soundsystem is the best - FunktionOne- and you still get a bunch of muppets each week stick their head inside them..... "for a laugh" :spank:

there's a few Funktion Ones in glasgow as well, awesome. the stacks look like something out of an alien film. a few of us agreed that danny howells would have been no good had he not been on such a beastly sound system.

I have heard some mediocre DJ's in that place and I have to say the sound system does help - although the system failed miserably with Sasha a while back - dull and dire.....:lol::lol:

You are sorely mistaken. Danny Howells rules. End of discussion!
(plus, he's a really nice bloke)

THAT sounds like a fun night. Get a bit of variety with two top DJs... eeek indeed!

When it comes to Nick Warren i become very "Eeeky" I am afraid - I have been known in the past to "shed a tear" during a breakdown in a Nick Warren / Way Out West set :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

(Gingerfreak is coming up too so that makes it extra special)

whatever floats yer boat. just thought he was bordering on generic electro house.

not that i thought he was terrible by any stretch of the imagination, better than expected and fairly enjoyable.

still, not the best. the geordie ladies on the other hand :D

Fri - Huge goings on at work - apparently the biggest fee our floor has earned in ages and ages by some other team - so lots of back slapping and a £1k bar tab for the whole floor. Got very drunk and then realised my colleagues are even more boring when smashed so ran away!

Ended up goin to Trailer Trash with a few friends as part of one of my friends extended leaving do. Considering I live about 30sec from this place I really need to go more often - Amazing Tunes and very friendly crowd 8)

Sat - Big bender starting around 1pm in West Hampstead at mates place to watch the Rugby. Everyone ended up at mine to watch the NZ-France game until I remembered my arial doesnt work. Ended up watching at Kick Bar.

Made a not so hasty exit, kind of falling everywhere and down to Brick Lane for mates Bday. One very rubbish rock gig later headed down to The End for Layo & Bushwacka (Buckley - hope youre impressed with the will power) - really good set actually - good deep house and kept it interesting - though clubbing fatigue definately set in after the last few weeks with my shoulder and knee going as well :cry: for me!!! - Made a hasty exit when instead of Jaded the decision at 5am was made to go to FIRE in Vauxhall - definatley could not have handled that!!

Sunday - Kipped and then kipped some more and then some more

Aye, when my brother and I were up there last autumn, I was amazed by their ability to venture out into frigid weather wearing basically no clothing. Amazing!

Well its not Moscow in February - that's for sure!!!

Me, I never go out past end of Sept without my parka, and that doesnt get hung up again until end of May...:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I think the reason behind no coat in winter is that they think they look "geet hard as owt man with nay jacket "......:roll:

But it's not just the lack of outerwear... there are also skirts and tops that barely cover the important bits. All in good fun, of course ;)
(and it's certainly not as bad as I hear it is in Sheffiled )

Hey, you were due a blow-out after finding out that Emma has a new man:lol:

Yeah still getting over that.

Though she does keep late night private numbering me and doing lots of heavy breathing scary stuff......Emma I know its you!!!
