Weekend rundowns

(Belated) Happy Birthday Pups! 8)

My weekend:

Friday-Sunday in no specific order

Not managing to meet various spotlighters as planned, Villa Mercedes for dinner, paella and tapas at some place near where the buses used to stop in San An, the Aquarium past San An with the bar outside and the wonderful folk, Cafe Babel, a lot of walking, 3 hr flight delay leading to much drunkeness and a 8am Sunday arrival home, a nice dinner and early night.8)
 
Did nothing of note this weekend.
Regarding the football, I think liverpool shaded it.

The right back Chelsea need is alves, i hope to god they get him as it will mean Real Madrid wont.
As for Torres diving, where was that? he may have stayed on the floor longer than normal at the end of the first half, but that doesnt mean he wasnt hurt.

I think this country can be too obssesed with this issue anyway. At the end of the day if theres contact in a challenge dont care if he dives or not, its a free kick

saturday met friends for coffee, then up to borough market to meet another friend for lunch. went out for quiet local drinks in the evening, nearly got persuaded to got to the end for circoloco but resisted. quite glad as reports were bad - our friends only stayed 45mins and said it was baaaaad. (in a bad way). i've never been to circoloco outside ibiza or the end - what do people think? the line up looked amazing...

sunday went to columbia road flower market, and came home laden with plants, cupcakes, perfume and tea. so much for saving the ££££££s!

Some friends went to Circoloco this weekend as well. They said it felt like just another decent night at the End. Which is the problem itself I guess - If it was just another night at End it would be ok but its Circoloco which should never just be another night or just decent!

Although the End itself is a great club IMO though I havent been in quite a while but have had some of my best nights out there over the years.

John Terry's reaction with that little shoving incident with Torres just brought home how much I cant stand everything about the guy. Dont normally dislike people - particularly ones Ive never even met but him (and Ashley Cole of course) bring me out in expletives my mother would be ashamed of

that whole surrounding the ref, trying to get players sent off, intimidating the refs, gamesmanship, etc, etc - JT is the worst by a mile.

Unless JT multiplies himself, it'd be difficult for him to surround the ref!

As team captain, he's allowed to speak to the ref. I have more of a problem with Ashley Cole or Drogba joining in.

Yesterday, I remember Terry spoke to Styles specifically a) after Torres ran across the field, backed into him and then fell down and b) after Torres dove over Ben Haim.

Sat: finished first year of my masters degree:D:D
night: Got totally smashed 8O danced to cheese Spanish pop and house music at the local with friends

Sun: head was pounding:spank::spank: got up late went bowling tapa and tooo much sangria.

Mon: feeling like sh**:spank::spank::twisted:. Is it Friday yet?

I had friends that left and came to fabric because it was that bad.

Didn't like the last one that much - crowd left a lot to be desired. Circo loco is too big a name now and draws a funny bunch.

Not that fabric crowd was any better I expect :lol:

Here is Graham Poll on Terry's ref-baiting, from today's Telegraph:

My memory is going 8O but I went to a circoloco a few months ago. It was on the back end of a bank holiday and was so frazzled I didnt stay for long so cant really recall whether it was any good or not.

I guess the End is not the biggest club so if the crowd is Sh*t it you notice it as well.

The concept of Circoloco outside Ibiza or DC10 for that matter on a Saturday night is never going to do the real event any justice and is kind of pointless. Reckon it would probably be better if they had the Dj's but didnt label it Circoloco as its always going to disapoint.

this is my friend's response when i asked her what was wrong with it:

the crowd, the music and it smelt like spew everywhere in the club. The smoke machine was way too much smoke and everyone had glow sticks in your face!! ARGH!!


don't think i'll risk checking it our for myself 8O

Glowsticks!8O8O I never saw Circoloco or The End as a glowstick type of club! Maybe it was Gatecrasher Vs. Circoloco?

that shouldnt put you of the End as club though - although I havent been in ages. Although the smell of Spew is not ideal.Although hopefully that was just the Circoloco crowd as well!

they hand those little sticks out at circo loco night for some reason... not proper glow sticks but those thin tubes that bend.

Sounds rubbish, though maybe im just being a grump today.

They always throw them at you in Trade and I usually end up covered. :oops: :lol:

Circoloco used to be brilliant at the end. What went wrong?

Oh well, another place I'm not allowed to go to because it's not cool enough. :lol:

Turnmills (demolished) Cross (demolished) Canvas (demolished) Canvas Terrace (demolished) Key (demolished) Egg (crap) Ministry (tourist trap) Fabric (tourist trap).

Does this mean I have to go to trailer trash and the t-bar every weekend for the rest of my life?
