Weekend rundowns

BRILLIANT weekend...

Friday - Simpsons movie followed by Trash Palace & accidental Trailer Trash visit.

Saturday - Old woman fell over and bashed her face in at St Pauls' - was very traumatising because she compeltely mangled herself - blood pi$$ing out of her face, bent hand etc. Had to sit with her and call and ambulance while loads of people walked past and did fook all. Grrr.
BBQ afterwards with dressing up games and Fabric. Fabric was absolutely brilliant...that place is reeeally good at 4am onwards when all the  types have taken themselves home. Got V messy and systematically one by one, we all fell down some very deep holes. Was very funny but quite scary at the time. Also love the smoking area - they treat you like sh!t and it's like a pig pen - brilliant!

Sunday - Soho pride...hmmm, was a bit dodgy but it's outdoors and lots of familiar faces were out and about so who's to complain?

Feel surprisingly ok today. :?

Fri - out for tapas with Tom

Sat - headed into town for pre-Ministry drinks with Big Head and Rob, got into Ministry early, had drunk 2 bottles of wine and 5 double vodkas by this time so I was a bit OOC for the first few hours so the night is all a bit hazy til about 3am  Really loved Louie but there were some right mongrels in the crowd :spank: Left at the end, kidnapping Dan and Rob with us and then spent 15 hours yesterday getting up to all kinds of wrong-ness :spank:

Feel like I've been runover this morning :spank:

Friday, bit of a messy pub night with two mates. One just been sacked for making a huuuuge error in journalist land. The other just found out his best mate bonking his girlfriend.

As I said, dont be bringing your bad luck in here chaps.

Then just a weekend of sport watching & cava drinking. Oh and finalising pride fancy dress.

Rob Styles rubbish ref :spank::spank:

Friday, also the Simpsons, was overly impressed, and was very short!!

Saturday, pilgrimage to White Hart Lane, nearly didn't go after the mid week nonsense!! Day on the Sauce with Sales, 3 0 up after 14 mins, couldn't believe what i was seeing!! EWe played well, but they were rubbish!!

Good few scoops on the way home, The Worlds End in Campden (freak show) The Flying Scotsman in Kings X, followed by a cracking Dinner in De Ceco, then the White Horse in Fulham! Was going to do Soul Heaven, but was hammered!! Save it for next week, where Dave Spoon is making his Box Debut!!

Sunday, a Colombian meal courtesy of a Mate's wife, watchin Footie!! Funny Old Game!!

so instead of going to V , for which i had the folks lined up to babysit, we honoured the visit and i met up with some old friends.

fri: met up with my best friends from teenage years, whom i've not seen for about 4 or 5 years

sat: day - went to the blue planet aquarium, which the kids loved.
night - went for a few drinks in town, can't believe how many more bars there are in liverpool city centre. i had a sad moment standing outside cream 10 years on exactly from the first time i ever went there. it was weird, not a single person there, mello mello empty save the barflys...........it could not have been more different from the mass of people that usually came with sat nights outside nation.

went to alma de cuba for a few, which is an abolsutley stunning bar set in a 200 year old church and pretty much retains all original features. bumped into ozzy who i've not seen since schoolboy days, he was with 5 or 6 of the the rest of the team.

sun - the old adage of "refs are human, they all make mistakes" is bollox cos rob styles continually makes mistakes and they are not even honest mistakes. it's not like it was a difficult judgment call. it was the equivalent of an open goal and he missed. in isolation he can be forgiven but he is always like that so should never be near a prem game. by the end of the match i was totally confused as to what was happening, his lack of control meant neither side was quite sure either. also when will people realise that JT is exactly the same if not worse than all these 'cheating foreigners' with his spiteful, aggressive, nasty attitude. refs are sh!t scared of him.

football wise, we need to take our chances and finish teams off if we are going to win the league. i thought we bossed the game, i thought chelsea were crap.

sour grapes there, grego? ;)

Friday - met a friend for "a beer" after work. This turned into a few beers, followed by a visit to a Korean restaurant for dinner, followed by several hours in a casino (I lost $100 :?). Bit of breakfast from Starlite Diner on the way home.

Saturday - Took Irina out to a nice Spanish restaurant for dinner. Pre-party drinks at Denis Simachev Bar, then trekked out to the Vinzavod for Danny Howells only to find out the event had been postponed  Backtracked to Crisis Genre where my friends' band was performing and from there to a new club called Solyanka where a random rave-type event was going on which was funny to say the least.

Sunday - Got up just in time to pull myself together and head to the sports bar for the football. Watched Man City create a miracle and then Chelsea get the miracle penalty that never was (are we even now? re: Luis Garcia phantom goal).

I thought the Blues were on top for about 30 mins in the 2nd half but otherwise were mostly outplayed. Torres is like Drogba '05 flailing all over the place but scored a high class goal.

Not bothered about the penalty because Drogba would have scored anyway (he had the ball at his feet, no one within 5 yards, and only the keeper to beat from a good angle), but Styles was obviously smoking crack.

love that place, our Liverpool office is the one storey, white building on the square in front of it, so we spend quite a few lunches there.

not sour, just annoyed that the game is constantly spoiled by the idiots in the middle. i don't even find it funny anymore when you or the scum are on the receiving end cos i know it could just have easily been us, like yesterday. it is far worse for teams outside the top 4 too, they get much worse treatment than the big boys. it's **** that its like that.

the "it evens itself out" thing is bollox too. let's scrap garcia's goal and have a pen and cech off please. people said we shouldn't have got a free kick against villa last week (i agree) but in the big picture the 2 pts gained does not equate to 2 lost yesterday cos your lot gained a point yeserday too.

when you say on top..........playing keep ball means nothing. the stats don't lie and chances wise we were clear winners, but like i said we need to be more clinical. pizarro's header should have gone in and we would have lost. kuyt x2 riise x2/3, gerrard x2, alonso, babel all had decent half chances.

torres will learn that doing that type of thing won't win him any friends, altho drogba still does it, as does joey cole, as does malouda by yesterday's showing. maybe torres has looked at chelsea and thought, "actually no, i don't want to win friends and win the right way - fcuk it, i'm gonna dive around and throw my hands in the air - winning is all that matters":?

drogba might have scored but titles/matches/periods of play should be decided by a player having to do it and not decided by a ref.

Agreed on the second point.

Disagree re: Malouda. He was jumping over and protecting the ball through to Drogba - call it a foul if you want but not a dive. Look at his goal in the Community Sheild (when he could have easily gone down for a penalty as the Man U defender nearly rugby tackled him) for evidence.

Because of his style of play (or rather, Mourinho's) Drogba takes a hell of a lot of physical abuse in games like yesterday's but spent a lot less time on the ground than Torres. I still believe Joe Cole goes down under contact but his flailing is what makes him suspect.

In any case, Torres' reputation preceeded him... I doubt he was looking to Chelsea for inspiration!

Have to say mine is DEFINATELY the most exciting weekend rundown this week! 8) Well not really...

Fri- Even managed to wriggle myself out of drinks locally. Watched a DVD with a mate - Blood Diamond and a nice 12hr sleep which was much needed!

Sat- Went down to the lane to watch Spurs trounce Derby. Then headed of home to see the parents in the evening.

Sun- Went to an old friends engagement party. Known him since we were little kids. Didnt expect it to be so lavish and was actually great fun. Lots of dancing with random old aunties on a Sunday afternoon. Just like Secret Sundaze really!

Delighted I finally managed to stick to a pre-weekend plan of having a chilled one - roll on the Bank Holiday!

i don't think malouda is a serial offender, but there was an element of having been hit by a sniper when he made contact with finnan, jsut look at his body position!! the example is a poor one as most players, even the worst divers, won't go down when they've got a clear shot on goal.

what physical abuse, stevie G was awesome by the way. made fat frank look well fat and mikel look like a young ruud gullit (no really he does).

i'd be worried about your defence if i was you. essien right back.......ben haim, c'mon get real!!

The point was he didn't have a clear shot... had to muscle (Ferdinand I think) out of the way and even then it was a tight angle. Could have gone down and made it easy but didn't.

Stevie G was immaculate. Lamps was no way near his best (and hasn't been for a while in my opinion)

That right back position is an ongoing problem. Tal's been ok so far but not stellar... he's a back-up defender and that's it. It's all looked a bit shakey in the back this season.

The Reds look quite good though. Second place? ;)

lamps has now become a bit like beckham, keane (towards the end), vieira (even when he played sh!t)...........in that people seem able to ignore when he plays poorly but when he plays one good pass in a 20 minute period, everyone is amazed by it. like when becks played at wembley last month and did 2 good crosses and that constituted a great game...:?

please please don't buy micah richards, he wants to come to us, he told me so. naturally i wanna win it but i'd say 2nd for us this season would be realistic, we're so much further behind you and utd in some many ways, so yeah 2nd would be a solid performance depending on the pts difference.

You've got more depth than United. They had Eagles coming off the bench yesterday when you had Babel.

Should have bought Richards last year when City needed the money. :spank:

Friday: Down to london for a friends birthday drinks somewhere in fulham followed by trailer trash then earlyish bed

Saturday: BBQ in afternoon which was unfortunately rained off but soon picked up when people decided to drink inside instead... then fabric which was good but crowd in there really is :?:?:?8O8O - glad they keep it as dark as possible or it really would be unbearable in there! Music excellent but not mind-blowing, Dixon impressed a lot. As rob says had some super strength stuff which kind of ruined everyone :? but it was all quite amusing...

Sunday: Slept all day then went to soho pride followed by a nice sushi dinner. Bed at a reasonable time but still managed to oversleep til 10.40 this morning, thank god I'm leaving this job in just over a week...!

Excellent weekend 8)

Its been one long weekend since i finished work on 10th August - celebrated my birthday for a week.

I feel surprisingly ok - dreading mid-week when everything will wear off.....

London on Friday night - have to do it all again - Gurnmills always brings out the naughty puppy in me.....:spank: :lol::lol::lol::lol:

friday - night in with the woman.

saturday - went to turnmills for garage city in a stretched hummer (oh yes classy stuff!). it was my mate's 21st birthday celebration night out. much merriment ensued, a lot of drink was consumed. it was splendid.

sunday - hangover. mate's actual birthday, family bbq at his, more drink + meat + cake. match of the day 2, heroes, sleep!
